That's funny. I would have put Jeff one bracket older. I would also have thought that both Opus and MarkBarrett were older than I. I had also thought that about Rex until shortly before I met him.

If I had 50 cents for every math question I got right, I'd have $6.30 by now.

I, too, am younger than my avatar.
I'm a tiny bit older and far, far less cute.

I get that a lot. I like to think it's because I seem wiser and more mature than my years.

No, we just never expected a penguin to be able to type in the first place.

It's my lack of hair that can cause some to peg me as older. It's the immaturity in some of my posts that can cause those that did not see my games peg me as younger. I was happy to just miss the cutoff for the next level where so many end at 49.

Between game comments, Facebook, and J! appearances I think most regulars here give off enough signs to make it reasonable to guess groups. It's relying on the avatars and handles that make things trickier.

From my internet postings most people peg me in the 0-10 range.

Point taken. I read last night in the NYT that college tuition has risen by a power of 10 in the past three decades, which is about three times the rate of inflation of goods and services in general.

Worse still, it's easier to wipe out gambling debts or mortgages on second homes in bankruptcy court than it is to wipe out student debts.

Well now we have to start another poll: How old did you think Jeff was? I'm a bit of an enigma. I have wisdom beyond my years, let still maintain the wide-eyed innocence of a carefree child. Just try to figure me out, I dare you!

dhkendall wishes he was one group down too. In my defence, I did just have a birthday about a week and a half ago, but it moved me up to 42 instead of 41 and a new category. But, I'm at least in the low end of my category.

6286 looks like a date.

If this poll had been done 2½ months later, my vote would have been different.

Jeff told us once what the 6286 refers to. It's two years and it has to do with a particular sports team. (I remember the team and I remember what the 62 part is for, but I forget what happened with that team in '86.)

Double it and add thirty.

If his team is the Mets, then 1986 was a World Series win.

Well, several boardies we've seen on the show, so we can get a good idea of them. (Stefan's answer didn't surprise me for that reason. In fact, I don't think any of my surprises came from contestant-boardies.)

I'd have guessed reddpen one bracket lower, and he's the one boardie who has answered the poll that I've actually met...

Look how spread out this poll is! Jeopardy is truly a game for all ages.

I mentioned mine in my other post in this thread, but I'm curious what others' first memory of Jeopardy is. Soon enough, we'll have a user whose first memory is Ken Jennings...
