I said crochet, but had a feeling at the time it wasn't the first thing the writers were looking for. It probably was, though.MarkBarrett wrote: Macrame for me on the clue with crochet also accepted. The writers tried to pin it with 7 letters and still had Alex staying on his toes to accept the other response.
On introductions I told myself Maruiusz would win just to make me write his name again for tomorrow's scoresheet. I've had enough repetitions over the years for Leszek Pawlowicz and Vinita Kailasanath, so if he does well enough I'll get to a point to do Mariusz Galczynski without looking. Or I'll just call him Scrabble.

At the age of 53, I'm noticing a lot more times when I'm pretty sure I have a response in my mind somewhere but I just can't retrieve it, and also more times when I confuse or conflate two responses. For some reason, I confuse the "wild things" guy and the "all things bright and beautiful" guy (whose name I just thought of without looking it up). Last night, I couldn't think of either one and went with Dr. Seuss just to have something.
Enjoyed the flag food category. Missed Pele but should have had it. Didn't get "inside baseball".
