I hadn't realized the names are in alphabetical order! I moved up to C Horizon (or Chorizo N), which is now one huge division, from my rookie rundle. I don't get to face omgwheelhouse or lose a second time to a TOC winner, but I face at least three boardies:
KJL DadofTwins
3-game champ ThreeIfByAir
and in the final match, Future TOCer BigDaddyMatty

Don't worry, I don't bite. I only just came up from D myself.sarisson wrote:I moved up to C Horizon (or Chorizo N), which is now one huge division, from my rookie rundle. I don't get to face omgwheelhouse or lose a second time to a TOC winner, but I face at least three boardies:

JannS, the champion who beat me, got battlefielded up to B, but her brother JannR (who has been on WWTBAM) joins us in C. Not sure who else we have.
Let the games begin!

I am horrible with names, and still have trouble keeping up with who's who, let alone what their llama name is.
Maybe once I have played a few seasons, I'll be better. Right now I'm in the Rookie Continental rundle.

Re: LL67 (For the LLamas Among Us)
I meant to start an LL67 thread with a poll, but it looks like someone beat me to starting the thread. Maybe the OP can still edit her post to add a poll?
I meant to poll everyone as to what league they are in, and whether they were referred to LL by a fellow jboarder (and whether they, in turn, have referred others). It seems like a lot of boardies are in the same league and go up against each other, which makes sense if many of them have referred or been referred to LL by each other. I on the other hand am off in Midland, where few other boardies seem to be (although a boardie once said that I strike them as a Midlander... not exactly sure whether that's a compliment or not... ). I was not referred by a boardie, which may be why I'm off on my apparent lonesome.
So in the absence of my ability to make an actual poll, I'll just post my would-be poll questions here:

- Which league are you in?
- Were you referred to by another jboarder? (If so, is it someone you previously knew in real life; someone you met through a Jeopardy taping/tryout; or someone you know only through the board?
- How many jboarders have you in turn referred?

Yes, Megan Barnes (known through board/FB).

Also Rafferty Barnes (again, like econgator). She and I are friends IRL. Econgator and I, however, have never met IRL.
I've referred 4 new LLamas, but none are JBoard folks.

Speaking of realio-dealio TOCers, though you are lucky enough to avoid him, omgwheelhouse is also in our rundle.

- Referred by LeeES, I think he may have been a boardie (here or Sony) at one point, but can't recall where (I have a hard time matching real names/LL names to jboard usernames), or if I know him through other Jeopardy! hangouts. Regardless, I have him filed in my "Jeopardy! friends" Rolodex. (Note, I do not have a Rolodex.)
- I have referred 7 people, 4 of which are boardies!

2. My referral posts occasionally here (OntarioQuizzer), but I didn't solicit his referral on the board, but rather through Twitter. I don't know him in real life (the main reason we interacted was through #Jeopardy Twitter and the Jeopardy! Live Panels).
3. None. I referred one person, but as far as I know he's only part of #Jeopardy Twitter and not on the boards.
I added a poll to my original post. I couldn't ask what league people were in because there's too many leagues (you can only have 16 options on a poll). I did ask if they knew their referral in real life.

So this learned league looks fun. I went to the website and it looks like you need a referral to join. What do I have to do to prove myself to my fellow jboarders to get a referral? As you can see I am not too proud to beg.

Yes, by jfrumkin, who I met on the morning of our taping. (I was already on jboard by that point, just not very active.)
I've referred a few people, but none of them are active on jboard.
