WOW! Pranjal is unseated as champ. Congrats, Pranjal, on a great run!

Congrats to Barbara for savvy wagering in FJ. Her DD bet turned out to be good, too. I wish she'd have pulled out Gone with the Wind.

I knew FJ immediately and was surprised it was a TS.

Congrats to Barbra for the win, and I can't wait to see how far she goes!

It's been a lot of fun reading jboard this last week, too - I'm really thrilled about how friendly of a community this is.

Congrats, Pranjal! See you in the TOC. Loved the Who is STELLA!!!! response.

Congrats, Barbra! Way to hang in there after that Gone with the Wind miss. Good thing you didn't wager everything like the wacky J-archive wagering calculator suggests. I would've wagered even less than you did so I could keep Zlatan locked out. But the point is you wagered conservatively enough to win on a miss. Good job and looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. And the next day? And the next season?

Yeah, but if she had, she might have lost the game! She would have been vulnerable to the exact wagering judo she pulled on Pranjal. If the FJ's going to be a TS, you want to be in second place going into FJ, but with more than two-thirds of first place.

Anyone else see the clue that mentioned "22 bright pink appendages" and immediately think "Who is the Flying Spaghetti Monster?"

Some really silly guesses in this game, but fun overall.

George Carlin? Babe Ruth? Yikes.

Tough FJ! though. I really thought I had it with George V.

For FJ, I knew exactly who they were looking for - "That Lord with the Welsh name beginning with C who financed the King Tut expedition" - and went with Lord Cardigan

I really don't understand those guesses (especially when shown a picture of Shandling), but then, Pranjal had quite a few weird ones during his run. Barbra seemed to know her baseball, but missed the Honus Wagner clue, which is a gimme for any baseball fan and a standard answer for "stupidly valuable baseball card". And then they all agreed to lose 2k on that gibbon clue.

Why didn't "coin" get a BMS? I know, trying to understand their BMS logic is a fool's errand.

Zlatan...I'm going to chalk it up to being very intense and a bit nervous, because early on it looked like he had an attitude for some reason.

Does "the other dude involved in discovering King Tut's tomb whose name I can never remember" count? That's as far as I got.

Great run Pranjal! See you in the TOC! Study some sports and pop culture :D

Congrats to Barbra on her win, and congrats to Pranjal on a great run. I had 47 correct responses including these triple stumpers: Beene, Honus Wagner, dime, Katzenjammer Kids, Boonesborough, the Wilderness Road, Beezus, and a penny. I also got the missed DD of Gone with the Wind, and I got FJ.

Great and enjoyabe run Pranjal, have a great TOC...I might not be able to be you in a game of Trivia Pursuit, but I could take you if it was a Brando impression contest.

I'm sure that will be a common type of reaction to this FJ. I wrote down "Carnarvon", but I wasn't sure about the spelling, and I was worried that I might be misspelling it in a way that wouldn't be counted correct on the show (e.g. inserting or leaving out a consonant or a syllable).

Well, you make mathematically optimal wagers, so we like you. Well, also, the whole representing Ohio thing, at least for me...

With Mastermind now airing new episodes on Wednesdays, did anyone else feel that this FJ belonged in a Mastermind general knowledge round? I felt that Approaching Menace should've been playing during FJ instead of the regular think music.

Congrats to Pranjal on a good run.

Fun fact: the home of the Earls of Carnarvon is Highclere Castle, better known as Downton Abbey.

If it counts, score one for me as well.
