So there are at least three millionaire contestants that got on from Tcona.

Michael Rankins, Brian Henegar, Dan Pawson...

I believe he taped before TCONA and thus didn't audition for Millionaire at TCONA.

Re: Josh Woo:

Well, that was disappointing. I made it through his deck without using any lifelines. The way I went through the Statue of Liberty question was that the forearm and tablet both sounded way too big. That left eye and finger, but I didn't think you would say someone was 'smaller' than an eye; it just didn't sound like a correct comparison. So I went with finger. Not 100% confident, but probably 80%.

Yeah, I auditioned in LA...the day before I went out of the country for a month and a half! :P

I think by that point, I was so distraught from having psyched myself out of the -cillin question, and the thought of clawing my way to $50K with just one lifeline left was not a very pleasant one, so it fried all my reasoning. Added to the fact that my sense of scale was thrown off from seeing a scale model of said statue in Japan...yeah, that could've gone better.

Amazing what those lights do, isn't it? Sorry it didn't go better for you. I was certainly pulling for you.

TIp for future contestants:
Spoiler
This would be a tough trivia question, but it's easy with the hint. Bill Clinton spoke in 2016, so if that was the 10th consecutive speech at a quadrennial event, the first would have had to be in 1980 (you can count backwards by fours).

Or, YEKIOYD: “The Speech That Would Not End,” for which Wm Jefrsn (Blythe) Clinton was drubbed in the media in 1980!

I remembered about the speech and that it assuredly meant the end of his chances of advancing beyond governor, but I certainly couldn't tell you what year that was.

Heh, yes, this was essentially a question on counting. Requiring zero trivia knowledge of any kind beyond a convention being held every 4 years and Bill speaking in 2016.

What was the player's answer?

I counted forward from 1988 and got eight conventions so it was an easy step to eliminate two answers.

I got it right, but I have an embarrassing admission. I got it from remembering he was first elected governor in 1978, so it couldn't be 1976. I could not recall if he spoke in 2016, completely forgetting that he likely had a very good reason to do so.

He got it right (after using the 50/50, which left 1980 and 1984, then just by guessing). There was no logic to it at all (he didn't know that national conventions are quadrennial), but all's well that ends well!

Thanks. That is pretty sad he didn't know how often we gave conventions.

Despite assurances from my local station, today's Millionaire was canceled so we could watch the President go into lunch and listen to talk about Melania's clothes. I haven't heard yet if they will air it at a later date.

If any of you got to watch it, could you please give a summary?
