The East Bay is booming, while Las Vegas' economy still hasn't recovered fully from the housing crisis. Insert "thinking face emoji" here, if the code allows it...
First the housing crisis, then Pawn Stars, now this? Hasn't Las Vegas suffered enough?
Has the housing crisis even really ended? HGTV has been in somewhat heavy hype mode for Flip Or Flop: Las Vegas the last couple of weeks...until that, the talk of it dying down led me to believe it wasn't as bad as it had been. Then again, one would also think the house flipping craze would finally be gone now too.
As for the Raiders (or whatever they may possibly be renamed...at least it won't be the Golden Knights)...

"Those who believe need no explanation." - Dionysos, The Bacchae by Euripides

I doubt they'll get renamed, but Invaders or Locomotives would be appropriate.
Or Golddiggers. How many times have they moved now? And how many of those times has it been to get a city to pay for a stadium for them?
This will be their third move, but it will be the first time they get a new stadium. For the 13 seasons the Raiders played in Los Angeles, they called the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum home. The L.A. Coliseum was opened in 1923. When the Raiders moved back to Oakland, they moved back into the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The Raiders played at the Oakland Coliseum from 1966-81, and it remains their home to this day.
Stadium issues did lead to their leaving Los Angeles, though. Per the NFL's TV rules, games that do not sell out are blacked out in the home team's market. This was virtually impossible in a 70-year-old stadium whose seating capacity was by far the largest in the league (~93,000). Once a deal to build a stadium in the city of Irwindale (20 miles east of Los Angeles) fell through, Al Davis moved the team back to Oakland.

The NFL has suspended the blackout rule since 2015 (officially, they're still studying the effects of the suspension) -- thus, all the Rams games were televised in L.A. in 2016, despite them averaging about 57,000 attendance in that 93,000-seat stadium.

I wouldn't be surprised if they reinstate the suspension once the real stadium gets built.
In other news: Crayola is retiring Dandelion, the first ever to be retired from the 24 count box. http://www.cinemablend.com/pop/1642150/ ... s-retiring
Dandelion is from the French for "lion's tooth" which might come into play if they make an FJ out of it.
The UConn Huskies women's basketball team's NCAA-record 111-game winning streak is snapped at the national semifinals of the Women's Final Four, losing to the Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs in overtime, 66-64. MSU's Morgan William, listed at only 5'5" tall, made the winning shot at the buzzer after having a potential game-winner blocked at the end of regulation.
The loss also ends UConn's bid to win its fifth consecutive national title, meaning some other team (either Mississippi State or South Carolina) will be crowned champion for the first time since 2012.

MSU's Morgan William, listed at only 5'5" tall,
5' 5" for a guard is completely normal in women's college basketball.
I should have done a better job indicating that her listed height is quite generous. She was at least one head shorter than every UConn player who was on the floor last night.

Her nickname is "Itty Bitty" if that makes any difference as well. That was quite the ending, though.
Tracy McGrady and Jerry Krause are worth recognizing the name. Rebecca Lobo was a UConn player on the undefeated 1995 squad and on the gold medal winning US women's Olympic team in 96.
The Undertaker (Mark Calaway) has (likely*) retired from WWE at Wrestlemania 33 after losing to Roman Reigns

For J! purposes it's more likely they would write a clue about Gronk jumping out of his seat into the action. The Archive only has three hits for "Wrestlemania" with the last one in 2011. Sports J! did a little better for working in clues from the sports entertainment world.
University of North Carolina Tar Heels win the men's basketball title, 71-65 over Gonzaga (no heroics this time, so they may not ask about it).
Redemption for the Heels (grats heelsrule and Maven!!). I don't really care about either team, but kinda wanted Gonzaga to win. I feel like I just watched the 2011 Final Four all over again. Gonzaga! Oregon! Wow, South Carolina!...but who actually wins the title? The usual blue blood. It would be nice if the mid majors of the world ever cashed in, instead of forever being 'that team that lost to _____'.
