I had no guess for the turnpike. Honestly, after reading Lombardi, my brain became fixated on the Knute Rocke rest area on the Kansas toll road, where I have been plenty of times. I might have been able to work it out with more time, but my mind wandered too long.

No way was this mythology buff missing that Norse myth/jotnar/giants clue.
"America" is tied with "The Boxer" for my all-time favorite Simon and Garfunkel song AND is one of the few tunes I can sing completely off the top of my head and quite pleasantly, so no way was I missing the New Jersey Turnpike one as well.

Melville was a lucky guess based on leviathan being a synonym for whale. Probably would not have rung in if it were a regular clue. Route 66 was my response on "America" road because I've never driven on the NJ Turnpike. Lame for a FJ as it obviously favors contestants from the East Coast. Knowing of Edison, Lombardi, et al. rest stops was YEKIOYD in my opinion.

Been to Piraeus...first perfecta in some time. NHO EITHER The Motels OR The Vandellas... need a special checkbox for Goatman on these things!
The corridors of my mind are plastered with 3M Post-It notes!

Have been on the NJT at some point
Saw the 1976 Omen
Clammed on Martha--thought of Vandellas but figured it was wrong and didn't know the right response
It's been a while, but I think I said something weird like Iceland on Friday
