Re: FJs for the 4/24/17 week
I think every FJ I missed was one I could have gotten under slightly different circumstances. I had some sense that the group on Tuesday was going to be astronauts, but "Mercury Seven" just didn't occur to me. On Wednesday I just thought that naming one of the former U.S. capitals would be too facile for an FJ clue. Friday I first thought of The Communist Manifesto then considered The Wealth of Nations, saw "nation" was the sixth word, and stuck with my first idea.
I have tested a Madagascar video game and I have known the lemur king was Julien, but it's been around 6½ years since I tested and even longer since working on that particular game, and it wasn't going to come back to me during the time the clue was in play.

Wow, although Wednesday was my only miss, I thought it would poll higher. Figured it was a toss up between NYC/Philly.

Surprisingly, I have not seen the Madagascar movies. I have, however, seen The Penguins of Madagascar when it was on Nickelodeon, and I also saw a few episodes of All Hail King Julien. Both surprisingly decent cartoons.

Not only are the penguins my favorite Madagascar characters, but they also have what is IMO the last truly great Christmas special/short to date.TenPoundHammer wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2017 10:38 am Surprisingly, I have not seen the Madagascar movies.
