Decided to start at the beginning of the list of 2002 shows, so as to lessen the chances of usurping a game on Mark's tape. This is March 26, 2002, Ella Rich vs. Noel Steere vs. Sage Andersen. I do believe all the links for video clues work.
I wonder how many takes Jimmy had to do to get the COMEDIANS for $800 (J!) clue right. Bravo if he hit the mark (heh) on the first try.

Ella was identified as a freelance translator, and, Spoiler alert, she was the only person to pull out the correct response in Final Jeopardy, giving her a win from 3rd place. A profile I believe to be her on a Translators message board indicates her subject areas include " Agriculture, Agronomy and Crop Science" and Spanish & Portuguese, so no surprise she had no trouble with the clue. According to my old notebooks, I missed the clue back in the day, but I got it this time around, which sounds a lot less impressive, once I've typed it. My Coryat on this game in 2002 was an astonishing $39,000, and there are 4 clues I missed back then that I'd have known today. This would be right around the time I'd gotten confirmation for the tryout that put me on the show.
Panonni has the next game, March 27, available so that will be next, since according to my notebook there's an absolutely essential category waiting to be entered. Also, my Coryat that game was only $26,800, but it looks like I was guessing like crazy on stuff I didn't know. We'll see you then.
