Wow - huge typo on the first question. I had narrowed down my choice to using either DDE or FDR, and I must have just mixed up the letter responses when I chose my final answer.

Re: TD 348 - Q2 RESULTS
Now that this has been revealed, curious what others think. Is Yorick a character in Hamlet? I'm probably going to finish near the bottom anyway, so it wouldn't have mattered.

Re: TD 348 - Q2 RESULTS
A quick check of the dramatis personae for Hamlet shows no Yorick. Yorick is dead at the start of the play, so he doesn't fit the category. He's really just a prop - a skull - and not even a talking skull!

Re: TD 348 - Q3 RESULTS - UPDATED
3. BEFORE AND AFTER - Each answer is composed of two parts linked by a word or part of a word. Note: there are 2 triples [e.g., Dandeli(on) (edge) of Seventeen] and a few of these work homophonically [e.g., Kate (Spade/spayed) or neutered]

Going surprisingly well so far. Almost went for Burundi for the singleton. I just wonder why I chose Pinterest for the next one even though I knew it's gonna be the obvious sheep.

Re: TD 348 - Q3 RESULTS
Not that it matters because I've been scoring high everywhere else, but I've always called it henpecking, and I see plenty of common-person usage of the phrase on Google, even if not a "dictionary definition".
Even though it would result in a lot of scoring changes due to hunt-and-peck already being the sheep, I request a reconsideration.

Re: TD 348 - Q3 RESULTS
Happy to reconsider. The fact that two people responded henpeck for hunt and peck did give me pause, but I made a ruling based on Merriam-Webster. I also brought up this question at a July 4th BBQ and everyone said no, but that could be a regional bias.spell4yr wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2017 8:51 pmNot that it matters because I've been scoring high everywhere else, but I've always called it henpecking, and I see plenty of common-person usage of the phrase on Google, even if not a "dictionary definition".

Please PM me with any references you found supporting henpeck

Sent.
I have no idea if it's regional or not; I grew up in New Hampshire and live in Indiana; not sure where clt013 is from. I just know I had heard henpeck enough for it to somehow overtake hunt-and-peck in my brain.
