The guy who used to live across the street from me was on the Virgin Islands bobsled team. When he told me, I thought he was kidding. But I looked it up, and he really was an Olympian.Peachbox wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 1:53 pmMinnesotaMyron wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 12:46 am Jamaica sent its first bobsled team to the Winter Olympics this year. "Escort scandal" reminds me that I'm old enough to remember when student-athletes driving new cars topped the list of what attracted the attention of NCAA investigators.badgerfellow wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2018 12:50 pm Louisville becomes the first NCAA Division I men's basketball team to vacate a national title after the NCAA denies Louisville's appeal over the ruling in the escort scandal. This all precedes anything from the FBI investigation that caused Rick Pitino and AD Tom Jurich to be fired.

I was reading about it in the papers this morning and there was a map showing places of his crusades. Some dots on the map were on the border of states and I could not tell which state it was while it seemed clear there was no dot for Utah or Delaware and most likely one border dot was Omaha, so Iowa also not one of the states.
With all of the years out there I'm curious why Billy Graham did not make all 50 states? I'm also thinking Millionaire could make a nasty high level question (if there are exactly three no-gos) of Which of the following states is the only one where Billy Graham had one of his Crusades?
The map can be seen here: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nat ... 858165001/

In other news, McDonald's will release 20 million packets of Szechuan sauce on Monday, February 26. The sauce was originally a promotion for the animated film Mulan.

Come 2020, there will be a new "World's Tallest Skyscraper": the 200-story, 3,280-foot Jeddah Tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. If it doesn't come up on Jeopardy, it certainly will on LL and/or Think Different. The current tallest building is the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is 2,717 feet tall.
Netflix is developing its first Arabic series, a six-episode young-adult fantasy titled Jinn. Jinns, sometimes called "genies", have been frequently used in popular culture, most notably in the Disney animated fiil Aladdin.

Two notable deaths:
Roger Bannister, the first person to run a mile in under four minutes. After retiring from track, he became a doctor. He was 88.
David Ogden Stiers wasn’t a doctor, but he played one on TV. He was Charles Emerson Winchester III on M*A*S*H. He was 75.

Adding a little more for the Oscars: (Even if not in the J! type of scope)
Since not everyone pays so much attention to the movies as others the full title of the Rockwell & McDormand film is: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
The "In Memoriam" segment had Eddie Vedder singing Tom Petty's "Room At The Top."
Adam West, Della Reese and Powers Boothe were snubbed.
Best Picture presenters: Warren Beatty & Faye Dunaway
The theater audience surprised by Kimmel & Co. were there to see A Wrinkle In Time.
Edited to get the correct Missiouri city. Thanks, Volante.

But the Beatty/Dunaway bit might come up. They were the presenters last year, so they must've done a good job to earn a call back...
