I assume for the last option you mean the Gulf of Honduras. There is no Lake Honduras.

I didn’t know the volcanoes in Lake Nicaragua but I know The Rolling Stones played a benefit concert in 1973 or so after an eruption ruined Managua. I think I’ll do well this coming week unless they ask about really recent music or some awful CW tv show.
Kudos on the perfecto.

A couple of things:
The cause of the Nicaragua devastation on 12/23/72 was an earthquake. The eruptions of Concepcion are categorized as moderate-sized.
It's dormant twin is spelled "Maderas" accordong to the Wiki.

Oh right, I should have had Gulf of Honduras as the option. I will change it to an "or" to cover anyone who perhaps made their response the unreal place matching what I had as an option and no harm for others if they understood it as the real place I should have had.

Thank you for noticing.

Central America + "body of water" + "shares its name with a country" led me instantly to Lake Nicaragua without a second thought. When my dad suggested the Gulf of Mexico, I couldn't assert that it wasn't Central American, and I thought it was more likely for a gulf to have volcanoes than a lake. But I was completely locked into it until externally prompted to consider anything else.

This was my seventh five for five of the season.
The week seemed pretty easy (all instagets) and the poll appears to be bearing that out.
Seen both the movie and the original The Fugitive tv series.
I would prefer not to.

For the second straight week, I ruined my chance at a 5/5 week with a Monday miss, only to sweep the subsequent four days. I knew it was RFK in the portrait but couldn't remember his department, which I always assume is the State Department for some reason.

I said Henry VIII for the St. Crispin's Day clue. I can never remember which Kings named Henry Shakespeare wrote about.

Missed two I should'a got, got two WAGS I could'a missed. Won the rubber game 8-) .

Mon - careless miss, knew it was RFK by elimination, forget that AG is a cabinet level position (Why should Justice be subordinate to Executive branch?).
Tue - Unless the horse had a wheelchair on it, couldn't miss the Roosevelt.
Wed - I only saw the "Warsaw" and named the only Pole I know. I may have vacuumed all the electrons so Mark B only had the rest of the clue to get stymied on.
Th - Got hung up on the Ponderosa and Gunsmoke from the TV TOM. Didn't know that the movie was critically acclaimed, usually Hollywood (the Oscar voters anyway) abhors TV tropes.
Fr - Lucky guess. Never heard of a Lake Nicaragua, but gave up on Panama because I know the Canal lake is not Lake Panama. Ignored the volcanoes.

I checked the TV box for Fugitive, but probably didn't sit through an entire episode due to it not being funny and lasting an hour.

Off topic, but I'm fine with Andrews answering Alumna instead of the enunciating Alumnee. At least he didn't say Alumnus, or Alumni. And, cut him a break, he has a plural name so he must have some kind of collective noun dysphoria ;).

His mistake was saying “nebula” instead of “nebulae.” Weren’t both of his names plural? LOL

My first 5-for-5 week in a while. The regular clues on this poll? Uh, not so hot this time around.

Almost, though not quite like Johns Hopkins. I think the plural of "landman" would be "landmen" instead of "landsman." I suppose it depends on whether it's several property owners, or one owner of several properties. I don't think it came out in his chat with AT.
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

Whiffed on Friday with Lake Honduras. Should have had Romania. I'm pretty sure I saw the movie The Fugitive but not any episodes.

One of my cousins lives in Nicaragua, which is the only reason I've heard of the lake.
