The 9th Symphony and "Ode to Joy" were all I could think of, though I knew it was wildly off...
I'm impressed with the knowledge of Australian geography shown in the daily thread...I don't know Perth from Brisbane...I actually wagged Hobart, just happy that I remembered the name...

Vertigo is one of the essential films of the American cinema. (Suspiria isn't bad either... :geek: )

Vertigo was a late get. I kept getting hung up on Rear Window because a broken leg is a medical condition that certainly features prominently, but of course it's not in the title. Psycho's title could refer to a person with certain conditions, but it's not a condition itself (and also not a 1958 film, I knew). At least "suspense" in the clue kept me wandering around Hitchcock's oeuvre, till I solved it with seconds to spare.

Darwin crossed my mind on Thursday, but I didn't think it was that big. I was fairly confident Perth was on the west coast, and I didn't feel confident enough about the location of other cities besides Sydney and Melbourne to question myself further.

Hallelujah Chorus, Seven Year Itch, no guess.

At least it's a step up.

Was fooled by the wording and went with Truman...
I'm pretty sure I would have gotten to Vertigo if I'd had any idea what "vestibular rehabilitation" meant. Couldn't even think of a famous suspense film, so I threw out (up?) "Shock Therapy" just to say something. btw, I've never even heard of that other guess, Suspiria.

Now I know where the term "Young Turks" comes from... The historical origin is news to me.
Sinatra sang in a group called "The Hoboken Four" before becoming big as a solo performer.
I'd always heard "Dr. Stoneglove" for Dick Stuart (and I think that's a better nickname).

Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Knew Wednesday had to be Haydn but was unaware of the Surprise Symphony.

If you add the percents for Tuesday correct (74%), and Tuesday incorrect Harry Truman (28%)...

Hmm...

“Eroica” on Wednesday; I recalled Beethoven re-dedicating the symphony over something to do with the French Revolution, but that came later (Napoleon proclaiming himself emperor, to be exact).
I have never seen Vertigo; considering that Rear Window is one of my favorite classic movies, I have no explanation for why not.

Monday I had gone from "Trouble" to "Etch-a-Sketch" and figured out the correct response about two seconds after the think music ended. Adelaide on Thursday. I have not seen "Vertigo", but I have vertigo (occasionally); never had vestibular rehabilitation but I read about it.

Had Perth and Darwin swapped on my mental map, and can't figure out why I thought Perth was in NW Australia. Bit on the "Dewey defeats Truman" image and hypothesized it meant Truman was the one surprised. But, after last week's 1 for 5, I'll take a 60% week cheerfully.
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

Switched from Adelaide to Queensland. Equally wrong, but more stupid.
Boardies know their maps. After Sydney and Melbourne, picking 3rd or 4th is tough just from map studies.

Went with "Ode to Joy" as the oldest by-namey sounding piece I could conjure.

Knew Hoboken for no reason. TOM'd out Dr. Strangeglove - We don't discuss Voldemort baseball franchises from the Bronx or Beantown around here.
