Cheryl mentioned her 12-year-old daughter wanted to get on the show and Alex said she was a year away from being old enough for the Teen Tournament. I wonder if she ever got on?

If this was Cheryl (RIP), vanMiddlesworth is apparently 1 word, no space.

ETA: Based on a comment on this obit, it is her.

EATA: I see she was already in the archive. I wonder if her name came up on screen as 2 words? I guess we enter it that way if it did, but I'd add an addendum to her profile page, I guess.

EOATA: I see we covered this before: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=637&start=1400&hilit=iPhone

I don't know if anybody knew about it since I haven't seen it mentioned on here anywhere, but 5-time champion and ToC veteran Mark Eckard passed away last year. https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/york/ ... =186878736

Sparky (clean shaven) had Alex name him as John with the last name sounding like something in the area of Wallins, Walling, Wallen.

I knew Bea lost the game and I thought it was going to be on a bad wager when I saw her leading for the FJ! round. Nope, somehow that clue managed to go only 1/3.

The J! season is done and I’m ready for a J! break after doing the weekly poll tomorrow. I still have more regular play partial games to do while the good news is I also found a few complete games as well. August 6 or 7 is when I’ll get the next game in the Archive.

If anyone deserves a break, it's you, Mark. :)

I can't see the pics at work, but this Stanford Daily story mentions a John "Sparky" Wallin (first column under the picture).

Thanks for your help with the name, Myron. Using it I found this picture that seems to fit a 30-year aging: https://www.google.com/search?q=john+sp ... 52aq3TSuKM:

I found an article about the school board guy that said he was a Stanford grad. So the two seem to be the same person.

I had everything except the introductions and took my best guess of spellings from the chat with Alex.

I have a game to input tomorrow and I am working on figuring out the air date. A PM to the expert still shows it in the outbox, so he has not read it yet. Anyone else have the date for Jennifer Daniels, Phillip Anderson Jr. & returning champ Robert Horton? My guess is late November or very early December 1987? Thanks.

Mark, about the episode you asked, ask Trevor(animfan), maybe he knows since his dad Carlo worked at this show during that time.

The FJ wagers and their responses showed they knew very little about numbers.
