13. BONUS #2: Scattergories - A game where players give answers starting with a specific letter for a list of 12 categories. In this quiz, you may choose one of four categories and give answers that start with up to 12 different letters. (One answer per letter.) For each three correct answers, you earn a bonus of (-1) and there is an additional bonus of (-1) for every singleton.

Which way to play this one? A sure -4 by naming 12 in an "easier" but more popular category - where singletons are more unlikely? Or perhaps name less in a category that not many others choose - with a higher chance of hitting singles? Someone who really "thinks different" could make quite the leap up the standings. Let's see how things went - starting with the most played category...

[Note: For those who submitted multiple answers to a certain letter (Example: Both Bears and Broncos for a "B" team) or answers from multiple categories, I used the first one listed on the form.

Congratulations to gamawire and casketromance!

Great game, clt. I really enjoyed the bonus part, too.

I got the very first question wrong, so I was never in the running, but I did really well the rest of the game. I don't think I had a single sheep.

Nice work by the top three and thanks for another fun game, clt013. Going for Skittles over Starburst (two of my favorites that I am always to have leftovers of after Halloween) was the wrong choice getting 8 points instead of 2 points.

This was one of the truest tests of Thinking Different because there were "usually" multiple choice safe answers for defense against wrong guesses, but also some YEKIOYD's for the gamers to duel with as well as sentimental choices for us to piss away points on just because...
The only downer was my broken heart from learning that Ashton Kuchner and Demi didn't make it :( . Who saw that coming? My doctor needs some new magazines in the waiting room!

Congratulations indeed to the two winners. When it comes time for me to stop futzing around and get an avatar and title, I think "Perennial Bridesmaid" might be appropriate. :D

This was fun! Thanks!

(I was SURE the Silverdome had the bus block the footage too... we stay within walking distance of the site once a year for a major car rally in Michigan... ah well)

The implosion of the Silverdome was in the news because it didn't implode. They had to try it again later.

Just looked it up again. That was why it was notable. Didn't take the first time.
