Seconded-though I first thought of Tom Ford (fording a stream), but re-read the question to get the actor.

So far, "Castle of Otranto" has approximately a 10% hit rate. It had a 75% hit rate in the "O" in Literature Quiz in Alpaca Farm.

Just as a reminder, this thread may have unmarked R5D4 spoilers. So if you're saving R5D4 for later, don't look at this thread until you've played R5D4.

what killed me was I saw the movie (6 pointer), and for the life of me, can't recall the name!

Loved the servants category, although I couldn't dig up Candleshoe from the mental archives for the life of me. That brain cell may have died. The early Thursday offerings, however, were killer! I took a stab at the 15-pointer, guessing that it had something to do with a lack of zero in Hebrew. Too obvious?

We should have a club. Since the start of SHC that kind of hting has happened to me at least a couple of times a week.

I'm in! Also (memory triggered by cinemaniax' post above), think I may have also seen Candleshoe waaaay back in the day.

I SHOULD have saved R5D4 for later. Like, WAY later. Perhaps 2050 or so. Probably my worst day ever, with at least three answers I had to leave blank while thinking, "I know this and I'm going to smack my forehead later." Oh, well, it will at least leave those above me one step farther from the bottom.
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

I was 13 turning 14 in 1977 and am certain I did not see the movie. The two I do recall seeing from that year are Rollercoaster and some George Lucas space movie. I was not going to get today's clue as what I remember from the advertising is the title, Disney, and Jodie Foster. Hayes & Niven along with a service angle were not enough to jog my memory.

Pleasantly surprised that I ran the Hebrew category. The other categories for days 3 & 4... :?

Woof wrote: Wed Aug 29, 2018 5:19 pm I just committed the biggest goof of this SHC. It wasn’t until I looked back at my R5D4 answers and realized that for the 8 point question I put Dublin. The reason? I was thinking of how apropos it was that I was answering those questions from my hotel room in Dublin. Triple bah on missing a gimme.

The servants category destroyed me. I figured Upstairs, Downstairs was going to be in there somewhere, but as I had no idea what the plot of that was I couldn't guess where to put it.

Thanks for this round... I wore out the C, L, A, and M keys and had to buy a new keyboard, but I knew the old keyboard was running on borrowed time anyway.

Anyone else know the Diwali answer because of an episode of The Office?

These last two days....yikes. I didn't even have a guess on anything in servants and hebrew.
