Yay, Lauren got the Lauren clue.

Alex had to announce two more scoring changes with Lauren getting docked 4000 at DD3 and then gaining 3200 before the FJ! clue reveal.

I was sure the penalty was coming and I suspected the gain was coming when I heard the responses.

The players were 1/6 on the big clues with Kyle having the only hit.

Shawn’s 8000 was a pretty number and it more than covered Lauren’s potential doubling. It did not keep him above Kyle’s expected fall to number of 9599 though. Kyle says thank you.

The FJ! category looked like a good one for me. If I would have known it was more sports & movies then it would have looked even better. Movie to city, done. The players at 100% on the FJ! clues? Done as well. I’m at my ever-so-common place of 50% on Thursday and looking at the 40 or 60 on Friday.

Knew it was Notre Dame, couldn't get past French Lick. Damn you Larry Bird!

Prompt on Kennedy for 35th President, then accept just "Napoleon" on the very next clue? lol, wtf?

More prescription drug categories please, and don't save them till the end, goobers. Shaking my head that I missed Adderall as a combination drug, though. And I never put it together before that the name Prozac has echoes of "prosaic" in it. I'm sure that's intentional. I wish there was a comprehensive drug name encyclopedia. Some of those stories are fascinating.

Was anyone else surprised to learn that restauranteur is actually restauranteur?

But I still think she should've gotten credit. (that "incorrect" usage is just too easy to find...)

As for FJ, I like to think I would've gotten it, but under the lights I might've accidentally gone with West Lafayette instead. (Purdue)

Strangely, $200 was my only miss in First and Last Letter the Same. Will I get a 5/5 before the week's over?

"Whose" was my only miss in Contractions.

And yet again they BMS "Kennedy" when asking for the president.

NHO that Pringles slogan. I thought that was very obscure and vague, especially with "Cabin fever" below it.

Couldn't tell you a single one of Reagan's movie roles. I had literally nothing to go on here whatsoever.

Wow - that was a hell of an FJ question. You needed to get the movie / role he played and its connection to the college, then remember what city the college was in. I figured it out, but having to go that deep to get the answer is a lot to ask for in 30 seconds.

I had a similar type of question on my second FJ, but unlike this one, I didn't get it (nor did anyone else). Category: US Cities. Answer: The paper making Winston Churchill an honorary U.S. citizen is in this city named for an inventor.
Spoiler
Answer: Fulton, Missouri. But to get this, you had to connect the facts that Winston Churchill gave his famous "Iron Curtain" speech at Westminster College, which is located in Fulton. Not obvious. Two guesses of Edison, and an incomplete answer that would have been Whittier.

Not only that, but you'd have to know that the screening was apparently off-campus in nearby South Bend (Notre Dame is an unincorporated town, and has its own zip code). Not that I made it as far as Gipper myself.

Yeah, I have no clue what the BMS criteria are any more.

Reagan's most famous movie role -- George Gipp, who was at Notre Dame, which of course is in West Bend ...

Oops.

I'll be checking the box that says "I got as far as Notre Dame on Thursday's FJ but couldn't name the city."

Amusingly, Bedtime for Bonzo premiered in Indianapolis, though Reagan was not in attendance according to the clipping. It was also ~11 years too late.
