My Emmy answer was a total WAG. All I knew is the show (The Good Place) has been running for a few seasons now, and he fits one pattern for the kind of actor they like to recognize.

It's a funny show but I prefer dark dramas, dystopia and horror

Who knew the Primetime Emmy Awards would bring down so many fine players?!

My good start surprises me.

Bill Hader was a bit of a lucky guess -- I know who he is, and that he's current, but I've never seen his show. I figured he'd be a decent choice to go with.

My Top Chef answer was one I knew. I've been a fan of a lot of different reality shows for a long time and I thought that was a good one to go for in hopes of getting a singleton.

Not to worry though. I am 95% sure that I'm going out on question # 3.

Some really good ones on Q1 - I thought "I'm out" from Shark Tank was clever because I would never have considered it to be an elimination of sorts, but it totally works. I was debating between Apprentice and Chopped, and, as usual, chose wrong.

I'll be honest, I expected to be eliminated on Q1, since I definitely don't consider WL to be a reality show, but I couldn't really define where game show ended and reality show began with some of the reality shows I was thinking of, and I couldn't think of another catchphrase anyway. I will gladly hop on the sheepmobile.

Shameless plug: I'll be appearing on Who Wants to be a Millionaire starting tomorrow, Wed Nov 14 at 2PM on ABC Channel 7 in New York

It was a wild ride! Auditioned Aug 3, got called Aug 13, taped Aug 20 (bumped from Aug 16!)

And then Jeopardy! called me on Sep 7 :(

At least the 12-month eligibility clock will start ticking tomorrow

I watched that Black Mirror episode because it won a writing Emmy, but I didn't know Jesse Plemons was nominated. I knew for sure that Alexander Skarsgard won for Big Little Lies, and that it was on TV last year, but I didn't know which Emmy year that was. The alternative would have been naming some random person from Modern Family, but that wouldn't have worked either, for once.

DVD is set. I haven't seen the show since Regis - my guide shows only a 30 minute show. I hope I need two days of show so I've set the 16th as well.

Thanks for the mini-TD. Now,go to hell for throwing an Emmy question at #2  .

The Emmys are fair game! And I asked for NOMINEES! Imagine if I had asked for winners. Maybe you and I should collude on a twelvefootboy-friendly set of 6 questions for the next mini-TD!

3. ELECTION DAY (33)
Name any U.S. senator up for regular re-election in 2018. This excludes the 2 special elections for seats held by interim appointees

Q3 ANSWERS
Spoiler
My take on the 2018 midterm elections, The Little Blue Wave That Could, now available for pre-order on Amazon

Some winners, some losers, and another Florida recount. Whatever your politics, I hope you all voted!

Oh! And the winner of this TD gets one front row seat to a public hanging in Mississippi, courtesy of Cindy Hyde-Smith!

Names I could have gotten were Ted Cruz and Elizabeth Warren. But oh well. If I go out, might as well go out swinging (which in this case means being the only one incorrect out of everybody).

Thanks for including me. Looking forward to the next one.
