What, no destroyed sinking battleship? Gotta give the edge here to Royal Tenenbaum.
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.

Got my mail in ballot today, reading the instructions and I got to this part...
If mailing apply proper first class postage (50¢).
I then spent the next five minutes Googling USPS rates to confirm that, yes, one Forever stamp is now 50¢.

Last week I took a trip down to Cincinnati. Somewhere around Toledo, I heard this anti-abortion ad that used this audio from a speech given by some nobody in 2010:

Can you say "manipulative", "false equivalency", and "dear god why is this playing on a radio station"?

The Archive shows the clue count at 359,970 for 30 away from a nice milestone of 360,000 clues.

Yes, but former three time Jeopardy champion Erin Zwiener won in a state representative race in Texas! https://www.statesman.com/news/20181106 ... in-suburbs

Love her campaign website. https://www.erinforyall.com/

On a positive note Morbeedo, if you get to $5,000 on WWTBAM Wednesday, you would have won more money than more than half the contestants on Jeopardy! :D

I hope I didn't jinx anything. :?

At least tell me you don't consider RBIs and pitching wins useful?
Wins are utterly useless (Jacob de Grom should be a unanimous Cy Young winner, record be damned) and RBIs only slightly less so.
So close...

Maffei was the only one of 30 voters not to give his first-place vote to Mets start Jacob deGrom

Yep.

And as is mentioned in the article (and possibly one of my favorite stats ever): if deGrom had received a run support of just 4.0, he would have been 30-0. That's a record that would have stood for eternity.

That's one name I haven't heard in years. Looking at his Twitter, I see he's still the same old Armond, though. I wonder how many fights he's picked / names he's misspelled this month...

Y'know, though -- as someone who despises the groupthink that's so prevalent in art criticism in particular -- when I was watching movies more regularly, I really admired the guy. I guess I still do.
