Ecclesiastes
No clue on Indiana or flyleaf and with little recognition after the fact
Clam on working with "purse" for prizefight.
J! champ getting on a run to keep playing is usually fine by me.  My preference is to see someone trying to crack the TOC field than to see five different players get their share of the five-figure Sony pay day.
No sweepstakes entry as trips are not appealing to me.  If there was some consolation prize such as $__ in the J! store then I would jump through the hoops for fun and the slim hopes.

Capital - not a hint. Thought it would be a "former" capital, NHO Italian East Africa but figured the Desert Fox Rommel was there. Kudos to boardies that this won't poll at 10% imo.

Bible - C'mon now, music related book? Do we not know "The Old Hundreth" (based on Psalms 100, sung by the congregation at Huck Finn and Jim's funeral with no corpus delicti :)) (waiting for math teacher to inform the plural spelling, lol)

Star Wars Trek, whatever - Great clue, good work by boardies. Went with Klingons as being more enduring in pop culture, ignored Remus as not being Brer Rabbit's Uncle.

Kipling - yeah, snake eaten by mongoose and vague remembrance of a pachyderm.

Children and Business - must be Toysrus, didn't know about the US limitation.

Santa Claus competes with nearby Noel, Missouri for silly season postmarks, but I didn't know which state.

Would not ever get flyleaf, but have heard of it.

PURSE! - Oh, snap - RTFC!

I would prefer one and done if it led to more players getting shots, and boardies getting the call. Intuitively it seems like it would. But, it don't. It's ten fresh meat faces per week no matter what, without even ties to worry about.
So let's get some champs and end poor RobW's long wait!

I can name all the books of the Old Testament. Psalms was easy enough that I didn't need to. But I did after I came up with it, just to make sure.

On the sci-fi clue, I thought, "Oh God, I don't watch a lot of sci-fi, and now I have to name a race from something I've probably never watched? I'll just say Klingons, maybe there's something Roman about their society. 'Cause its a twin planet called Remus, the other one must be Romulus—oh, it's Romulans!"

Corpora delicti. Not that I'm a math teacher or anything.

It wouldn't lead to more players getting shots, but it would lead to fewer players getting their shot and not winning even a single game.

What is the All Stars Fantasy League Sweepstakes?

For that matter, what is the All Stars Fantasy League?

I have no opinion one way or another about one-and-done vs. players making a run at the ToC field.
No plans to enter the All-Stars Sweepstakes.

Edit: Wednesday night I was struck by wondering what happens to letters mailed to Santa and Santa Claus, Indiana was one of the things I found, so I probably would have gotten that clue on Thursday or Friday, but didn't Tuesday.

Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

A 5/5 after going 0/5 earlier in the season is like a 9(6) after a 0(0).
I watched the All-Star draft on Facebook (not live) and can't believe they flew everyone there just for that. Aren't they taping the episodes next month? Why not have the draft, then have them play while they're already out there? Am I missing something?
Hoping for a third lap

Prep time and team strategy? Or just early season hype? Your choice.

Knew about North Pole, Colorado, but unfamiliar with Santa Claus, Indiana.

Entered the sweepstakes based on "what the heck, it's easy and free and requires no skill or effort on my part."
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

NHO Santa Claus Indiana

Prefer to see people win a couple of games to one and done, but not a fan of uncompetitive games and long winning streaks either.

Have an entry in the sweepstakes.

As a southern Indiana native, Santa Claus was an instant get. There's a reasonably popular theme park there that my family used to go to several times a year, and I've taken girlfriends there when I've visited my parents over the summer.

Kept trying to work 'purse' into 'prizefight'

I just went ahead and did an entry. I like trips. It's not like they're going to take a vacation -away- from you if you lose!

I remembered that "Davy" played a harp in Action Comics #s 451 and 452, and that it was a sort of allusion to biblical David, according to a letter to the editor a few issues later. One of the story titles was "The Day the Dreaming Dies", evoking Don McLean, whose "Babylon" track on The American Pie album was based on Psalm 137 (composed though by Philip Hayes 200 years earlier, I just learned). I wasn't crazy about the clue though as it seems to ask for a singular title.

The woman here says that the Romulans and Vulcans were once one people, ages ago, and my quick web search indicates they parted paths only during the Time of Awakening, when the former rejected Surak's reforms. Also, they can interbreed, though whether their offspring are then fertile I could hope to tell you only were I to click on one of the links, and I'm not feeling up to that. Of course it doesn't make Vulcan a correct answer.

The sweepstakes sounds like the type of thing I'd be unlikely to bother about, but I guess we'll see.
I'm smart and I want respect.
