I've seen the movie and know the "monument". I still don't get natural places as "monuments". I also don't know why this one was the "first" when the Washington Monument was already 50 years old.
The Washington Monument isn't a 'national monument' like Devils Tower is, it's a memorial.
Also, the Antiquities Act that creates national monuments didn't exist until 1906.
I snickered when the last answer revealed in Senators With Stamina was Ted Kennedy & the contestant then chose Hitting The Sauce. The rock star surprised me with his win. I thought Andrew would be around for a long time.
