Although I have been constantly improving.
From what you've been reporting about your scores, there isn't much room for improvement.
Yeah I wish I could have his nightmares and “only” get 55-57 per night!

In my first game, I had Agriculture Hall of Fame. Did not see that one coming - as far as I know, it's never been used before or since. Luckily, nobody else was very good at it, either.

For me, SPORTS-CRAP

But you can really get better at Shakespeare clues by looking at plot summaries and mining the archive. They keep asking about the same stuff. Just don’t confuse Ophelia and Cordelia and you’ll be golden

Sports is so much broader than Shakespeare. How should I know which Scandinavian city hosted the 1912 Olympic Games?

Anything Pop-Culture related is terra incognita to me. Music, celebrities, you name it.

Likewise most technology-related clues (I'm the only guy I know who has a cell phone with a rotary dial).

Perhaps surprising, Opera is not a category I dread, although it's far from my strongest.

How do I deal with these things? Pray that when my time comes (and it will), those things don't come up in my game(s). Study for them? I don't think so. I wouldn't know how to manage a universe of material that I know basically nothing about, and some things (pop culture) I wouldn't want to learn even for Jeopardy!

I have enough good categories that when I get The Call I will spend my time shoring up weaknesses in my "OK" categories, not working on the "terrible" ones.

Oh, I actually *do* nail the occasional Shakescrap question, simply cuz I play so much trivia off and online and remember some of the stuff. I just hate that I do.

Sports *is* broader... and FAR more interesting. BTW, Stockholm. Paavo Nurmi was the biggest star. :)
