Legendary Broadway actress Carol Channing has died. She was 97. Channing came to prominence by playing showgirl Lorelei Lee in the musical Gentleman Prefer Blondes. She is best known for playing Dolly Levi in the musical Hello, Dolly! She also was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for playing Muzzy Van Hossmere in Thoroughly Modern Millie.

A new record for the most-liked photo on Instagram has just been set by a picture of an egg. Just a plain brown egg. As of this post, it has over 43.5 million likes, easily more than doubling the previous record of 18+ million.
