Bumping before the "madness" kicks into high gear at various venues across the country.

I will be in one of those arenas this afternoon - hoping my alma mater can pull off a bracket busting upset.

I'm jealous, I've always wanted to go. I didn't realize Hartford was hosting this year or I would've looked into tickets. My alma mater (Univ. of New Hampshire) has never and likely never will get in...

maybe someday, but probably not in the near future...one of the worst teams this year across ncaa basketball...they were a good team to take the under on...most of their games were so low scoring

Oh I'm aware. They'd been better the last 5 years or so, but the senior class that left last year was most of the talent. When I was a student, they held the record for longest home losing streak, which I think was broken, but I'd guess we are one of the 10 worst programs in D1 history. Luckily the hockey and football teams have won all those national championships...oh wait that hasn't happened either.

going to say they arent one of the worst 10 programs in history when you figure in most of the HBCUs...then you also have programs like njit (which is on the rise), chicago state and centenery (when they were d1)...maine worst this year in the america east and probably worse historically than new hampshire

Because there is a certain kind of pride with being a complete loser, I did some research this weekend. Looking at all-time records, there are 8 schools out of 350 in the history of D1 that have winning percentage below 0.400. And they are, with # of seasons in D1:
1. Florida Atlantic, 29 seasons, 0.366
2. (tie) Prairie View, 57 seasons and VMI, 109 seasons, 0.370
4. Chicago St., 51 seasons, 0.383
5. New Hampshire, 103 seasons, 0.389
6. (tie) FIU, 36 seasons, and Georgia St, 54 seasons, 0.390
8. UMBC, 50 seasons, 0.391

While Maine might be worse than us this past year, they are no where near this list, 0.459 overall. UNH also still holds record for longest home losing streak at 32 games. We suck, like really suck. I'd say VMI, worst program ever. Going to go with UNH as 2nd worst.
