Oh my, that is hilarious. Nice.

On the other hand, it's embarrassing to the human race when various national media outlets so callously throw out misinformation like this.

I would say born in the 2000s, not born in the 21st century. The latter phrasing is either ambiguous or flat-out wrong.
I stand corrected and hang my head in shame for not fully thinking this through, but at this point in the semester, there aren't many coherent thoughts coming out of my head.

Anyway, I meant to go back and add the link to my original post, but I'll just add it here: https://www.mlb.com/news/elvis-luciano- ... n-in-2000s If only I had paid more attention to the URL...the headline says 1st 21st-century player, but the URL and article themselves state things as they should be.

Move along, folks, nothing to see here....

NCAA basketball:

Men: A year after they were the first 1-seed to lose to a 16, U. of Virginia Cavaliers def. Texas Tech Red Raiders 85-77 (OT) for their first title. Sweet redemption.

Women: Baylor Lady Bears def. Notre Dame Fighting Irish 82=81 for their third title. (Does J! ever ask?)

I almost got to see him set the record on Sunday. I feel for the guy. He's just so pathetic up there at this point.

And who do you think feels worst about it? Having been friends with an MLB player and seeing how it can affect them when they don't perform, it's a real bummer for the player. And making gazillions makes it worse, not better.

and today he even gets a day off...not in the lineup...if i were the manager he would be playing every day, batting 1st to get in as many at bats as possible to get that streak to the sky

Alright, alright, not even Orioles fans spend this much time thinking about Chris Davis. Take it to Retaken Down if you want to keep it going.
