Matt Jackson's mother is Amy Berman Jackson (the judge overseeing the Roger Stone case--the article's from 2015 so it doesn't make mention of that)
... and the one that Stone posted a picture of with a target next to her head.

From a Washington Post article about Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who will be sentencing Paul Manafort on Wednesday:

She was formerly married to Darryl Jackson, a Washington lawyer and senior Republican appointee who served in Bush’s Commerce Department, after the two met as young prosecutors. One of their two sons credited them for his eclectic upbringing during an appearance on a national trivia television show, saying, “My mom is white, liberal and Jewish, and my dad is black, Christian and conservative.”

Her Wikipedia article says they are still married. Sad to hear they divorced after such a long marriage.

No surprise the 3/18 issue of TV Guide had a mention of Alex Trebek (spoiler for large image of article)

For Alex back at work this week Google "trebek returns to work" and pick the link of your choice.

Article about the 1984 J! tryout process, which apparently ran only in the long-gone San Diego County edition of the L.A. Times. (Open the first image in a new tab/window to enlarge.)

There's probably going to be a lot of media coverage with Jame's run, but I thought I'd like to this Washington Post article.

The April 10 episode of The Goldbergs, "I Lost on Jeopardy!" featured three brief clips from the show. First was a shot of Chuck Forrest in his game 5 from October 1985. Second was a clue barely still in the 1980s from the December 15, 1989 episode. The last one is beyond my id-ing capabilites as Alex was shown revealing the FJ! category of BUSINESS & INDUSTRY.

Erica Goldberg at the audition was shown at a one-on-one sit-down interview with a staffer. That and the above-mentioned FJ! category reveal is not how auditions worked then or now.

The other error was Erica excited about the 1989 "Pluto Platter" clue and getting it ahead of "Larry" who was not a contestant in that game.

The hair needs more volume in the 80's figure, but it's cool anyway.

Bah, have to roll the dice to get the mustached variant. Not a fan of Funko doing that. Their latest Goose had two variants as well, with the cooler (IMO) one a rare random.
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.
Latest movies (1-10): WIthnail & I (7), An Autumn Afternoon (7), Europa Europa (7), Tampopo (9)

I strongly dislike that somebody making a living (as a gambler, no less) comfortable enough to say "It's only money" is winning so much of it while equally skilled people are struggling to survive.
