There are a lot of baseball teams that could use a closer like Scooter. What happened?
Spoiler
In the bonus round the first person got the first two right and then missed. Team member #2 missed. The last member remaining, Scooter, needed five in a row right with no misses for the team to get the $10,000. He passed his first Q and then ran the table to take it off the sheet for the win.

In the third round where teams have to write their answers instead of having multiple choice was:

The Cabinet is part of which branch of the U.S. government?

Both teams had legislative. :o

Is there no longer funding for teaching civics in school?

Two heartbreaking losses in a row on the VERY LAST question.

First the Blondetourage on Wednesday. Had the lead through the entire episode and then said Charlotte's Web when asked about "Scarlett", the sequel for Gone With the Wind.

Today's loss was even more painful. The Silver Foxes had the lead through the entire game. On the last question, they were asked what the first corner square you pass on Monopoly after leaving GO. They answered with Baltic as they misread the clue and thought it asked for the first space after GO. :?

Perhaps the loss would have been even more heartbreaking if they had given the correct answer(Mediterranean) to the misread clue!

Well this is a bit of a rarity but the Mojito cocktail ingredient was on both "Best Ever Trivia Show" and "Common Knowledge" on the same night.

Brianna from team "The Nurses": I quickly realized that they(her teammates) were the smartest two.

Later in the episode, they were asked what continent the South Pole is on. They said Australia.

The 8/1 episode had a J! alum: http://www.j-archive.com/showplayer.php?player_id=8836

Comments:
Spoiler
The Austins won the bonus round without Reggie playing as his wife & sister made it through the seven questions. I put a line on Reggie's bio for Celebrity Name Game as I remember seeing him on that show as well though I do not recall the result. A Google search only turned up a FB post recognizing him and I went with the year and month of the post while not sure if the date was exact.

I wonder if Reggie is the first J! alum on the show. There have so far been 468 contestants on "Common Knowledge". There could be someone that we don't know about.

For the third time this season, the team in the lead throughout the first three rounds lost on the very last question.

For the second time this season, the winning team lost with 6 correct and would have won $10,000 had they not used the pass. Ouch!

Comments for 8/7 episode:
Spoiler
It was easy to recognize Peih-Gee Law since she was on two different seasons of Survivor. She made Final Five in China and was gone on Day 9 in Cambodia.

Today went better as she, her sister and an honorary brother friend won the game. Peih-Gee led off for the team in the bonus round and including a pass on a Yiddish word navigated all 8 questions she saw to single-handedly win the $10,000 for the team. Put her on J! if she has that kind of trivia chops.

From the 8/13 show:
Spoiler

The Nagila Hava team played the question first and then the Mazel toff team had the chance for the rebound. It was funny when the first team discovered they had the right words though in reverse order.

The Mazel toff team liked their next question better though it was not enough to win the game.

I guess it's time to call the pass the "Pass on $10k".

Joey Fatone: How I learned it was Every Good Boy Does Fine. So I never knew much about Fudge.

Me: In the UK, it's known as Every Good Boy Deserves Favour. You probably didn't know that either.

The Hamiltons question was very hard to watch. The person on the $50 bill is none other than General Hiram Ulysses Simpson Grant.

For Chris, Upright Man is Homo Erectus.
