I spent more than half the night dreaming about the different possibilities after the Final category came up, DIRTY PLACES TO SPEND YOUR BIRTHDAY. I guess I was hoping there was some really good trivia about a celebrity getting stuck in a sewer on his/her birthday, sitcom-style?

Logic would tell you this has to be in Canada or Russia but is it Charles DeGaulle? Is there a Paris to French Guiana flight? Is the Atlantic even wider than Russia?

I've since checked and found Paris to Cayenne is roughly 4395 miles so looks like a no-go.

Nice work! The great thing about FJ! is that often you can deduce the answer without straight-up knowing the trivia. That's what I was shooting for, it makes me happy that you did it.

A few guesses on baseball. Either Lou Gehrig, Ted Williams, or Joe DiMaggio. I hope it's one of those three.

Good catch. My first source said 99 was the record, but NOAA says 100. Unfortunately, that ruins the clue because Alaska would also fit. Deleted.

Or you could do what CasketRomance said and just change "of" to "over."

Did that, but had to add the qualifier "other than Alaska" because both states have a record of exactly 100.

We've lost the element of "I'd guess Alaska, but would that be too obvious?" which I thought was one of the neat things about that clue.
