Yeah you're right, thanks for the catch. For some reason I accidentally recorded "3" for those of you who picked selma, with the exception of Peachbox. The rest of the folks in that tab will get an extra point at the next set of standings in a few minutes. Great week I'm having with this quiz LOL .

I think the two songs were right by each other in the Forrest Gump soundtrack.

I've been around TD's long enough to not get too annoyed when what I think is a really good answer turns out to be a (mega-)sheep. But "Marty Robbins".... really? Of course that was still better than the other "really good answer" I considered: Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra, who had a pretty big crossover pop hit with "Jackson" in 1967. Turns out they weren't married (to each other). (I won't mention that those were the only two answers that I actually knew.... well, one answer  .)

I knew the majority of them - and almost went with Marty Robbins myself. Actually dodged that sheepish bullet for a change!

Judge’s Table: I noted in the opening post/intro that Jeopardy spelling rules apply here - I received multiple submissions with a combination of letters that were close, but I just couldn’t accept. This includes: Porzkiva, Porzikova and Porzina (there may have been more).
Poroskova was an alternate spelling that I deemed acceptable (that’s the phonetic spelling, as far as I’m concerned, but the pronunciation doesn’t change).

ALL SHEEP LINE - 72

A few big sheep totals and incorrect responses hurt a few of our frontrunners, but Peachbox remains on top. She’s joined today by spell4yr, who makes a huge jump forward without the aid of a drop. RandyG and mahatma both make big leaps into contention, and both have drops still to use as the TD enters its home stretch. ChexMix, barandall800 and lefty have lurked in the top ten for much of the game, and all are still very much in contention as well. What will happen as we enter the modern age, including everyone’s favorite topic in modern music? Check back tomorrow for the final results!

It is still frustrating though, I don't blame you at all. I think it happens to everyone at least once in a while -- Jose Maria Olazabal was one such instance for me a few months back that is still baffling. Turns out the only six other people who know/remember that golfer all reside on these boards!

Country music has been berry, berry good to me.

Thankfully I remembered the "other" name for Nashville Sound, I once was a big Big & Rich fan so I knew what they did when they were on their hiatus, and I had a friend in college who shared her name with Minnie Pearl and was one of the first fun facts she ever shared. I look forward to the inevitable crash and burn.

I conflated Los Del Rio and Taco Del Mar. Would love to open up a Macarena themed Taco shop though.
I eat chicken. That's what I do.

Clearly a simple typo. I think it should be accepted.

There's always room for Jello.

I think he should get a demerit for breaking the unwritten 'thou shalt not wear one's own band t-shirt' rule.

Brilliant. I am not much of a taco guy, but I will absolutely go to this.

I too know it was just a typo... but I made note in the opening post that J! conventions are followed for spelling/leading articles (mostly to try and make my life easier). That rule helped out a lot for sorting through the Paulina Porizkova responses, but also sets a precedent - Lol and Los are different words, and I (unfortunately) cannot accept that.

This has worked without much of an issue in my past two TDs, but this is something that I will absolutely need to scrap in the future. Live and learn I guess.

The problem with a near-wheelhouse quiz of this type is figuring out how others will respond. I vacillated between “countrypolitan”, “Rickenbacker”, “Murray the K”, and “Alan Freed” on question 8, and picked the worst score of the four. Then I misread the instructions for 9 by saying “Dee Snider” (my spelling is correct; “i” not “y”). Argh...

And go ask an actual ‘60s SoCal surfer, and you’ll likely hear that the Beach Boys were not considered surf rock - that was Dick Dale, the Chantays, the Ventures, the Surfaris, etc. I don’t care about Wikipedia’s breakdown of “instrumental” and “vocal” surf rock. 8-)

I don't think that was complaining, just expressing frustration in basically out-thinking themselves.
