TD 430 - Back to School (final results)

Post by Ironhorse »

Welcome to TD 430! This one will be loosely based on the theme "back to school".

The rules:

1. Lowest score wins.
2. Wrong answers will score the sheep answer, plus 3 points.
3. You may DROP one question for a score of 0.
4. You may also choose the SHEEP on one question for a score of the most popular answer on that question.
5. There is a bonus of -3 points for eleven correct answers (not including the bonus questions) without using a drop or sheep.
6. Letters required for questions 5 and 9. If you forget, I'll try to PM you to prompt you unless you submit right before the deadline.
7. No cheating. If you do, it will go on your permanent record.
8. Answers are due Monday, September 9 at 11 AM Eastern Time. (If I end up having to evacuate due to Hurricane Dorian, I may push it back a day or two.)

Final bump. I was spared by Dorian so I'll close it at 11 on Monday (sorry for closing it earlier than I usually do but my work schedule is heavy mid-week so I'd like to use Monday afternoon to tabulate results).

I fixed a couple errors; thanks for calling it to my attention. The scoring was done separately and was unaffected by this error.

Nurse - 6 (sheep)
shambolic, MarkBarrett, LucarioSnooperVixey, Elendilpickle, xabe, mahatma

I went with Marcia Brady's final role but should have gone the other way with the part she lost, Juliet.

I looked up who sang Charlie Brown just the other day. Then forgot it again. Just couldn't remember it for this TD. Then I scored better with the answer I gave instead. Thanks, short term memory lapse!

i thought she ended up taking the part of lady capulet after the girl who had the role came down with the mumps?

Yeah, I think you have it right. Marcia must have tried out for the Nurse first, got the lead instead, got dumped for having a big head and then got mumped back in to do Lady Capulet.

I'm not sure when I'm next going to have time on the computer to do this, so I'm going to finish this up now.
Thanks for participating, everyone. I was sort of reluctant to start a TD during the offseason but I was happy to get 39 participants.

As for question 11: I accept the criticism I received about the image being too small. I had to resize it to get the board to allow it, but the full version could have been linked. This will be kept in mind for next time I want to use a visual clue.
