TD 431 - Abbreviated Version (Final results)

Post by clt013 » Mon Sep 09, 2019 9:42 am

As a new Jeopardy! season kicks off, here is a quiz with questions (loosely) based on abbreviations you may find on this board.

Rules/Notes
1) Lowest point total wins; your score for each question is equal to the total number of players submitting that same answer
2) You may use one drop and take zero points for that question
3) You may elect to take the "sheep" (most popular) answer for one question
4) Wrong responses are the "sheep" answer +4
5) All answers are due by 1 PM Central time on Monday, September 16, 2019
6) Submit answers via this Google form or PM

[Correct answers = -1, Singletons = -1] (Max. bonus = -6)
{My source lists 230 possible answers, so there's a solid shot at snaring some singletons. Think different enough and your score could shrink by six.}

won't slide to page 2...people on here are lame and not active on weekends for some reason...weird seeing the work week would be the time which would take away free time and the weekend is when a plethora of time is available

I really didn’t think Tom Green was going to be as well-remembered as he apparently is here. The Bum-Bum Song was definitely on a mix CD I burned in high school.

I think I'm thinking too hard. Every time I have a choice, I try to game out what others will answer, and choose the lesser. And every time I do that, I end up sheep or near-sheep, leaving obvious answers not used or singleton . So sourly amusing.

Good quiz, though. Operator error, not writing. Thanks for doing it!

had pony and then changed to new balance thinking since most people on this board are liberal type people they would shy away from the conservative adopted brand of new balance...i guess i was wrong
I don't think political preferences play into TD choices on that deep of a level. Having said that, I once correctly guessed on one of floridagator's TDs that Donald Trump would not be a popular choice.
Never been on J!, but once won a knockoff version that aired on local access TV.
