A very difficult clue, but I would still love to give it a try.
ART
The only painting sold by Vincent van Gogh during his lifetime currently resides in this museum. Spoiler
What is The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts?(The painting is "Red Vineyards near Arles".)
Spoiler
needs a TOM, nothing here to associate one with the other, it’s very much a YEKIOYD
I love the piece of trivia, but I agree with triviawayne. Typically, FJ gives you the more obscure fact(s) and makes you connect the dots to something the audience is more likely to have heard of. For instance: Spoiler
The Pushkin Museum holds the "Red Vineyards near Arles", the only painting this artist ever sold during his lifetime.
When you write it that way, it's a pretty solid clue. It has the Arles TOM, it has Pushkin to distract and punish you if you don't think about the whole clue, and it's a fun fact. It's also much more gettable for the at-home audience, which is a key part of the equation. People like to know the answers and feel good about it. There's a reason nobody tunes in to watch the NAQT championships...
Here's a real one from 1990 (episode 1245) that seems to have a pretty massive loophole:
ANCIENT TIMES: This city didn't exist at the time of the Trojan War so Paris couldn't have abducted Helen from there
They obviously wanted Sparta, but there are countless answers that technically fit the clue. For example: NYC, Sydney, Juneau, Toronto, and the list goes on and on and on...

Given that there is little evidence the Trojan War even happened...
