Spoiler

Not sure if I scored on the original question, so submitting an RQ answer just in case; please ignore if I’ve already been credited for the points:

US LAW & GOVERNMENT BY THE NUMBERS

9:  Ten days, not counting Sundays

  • (Side question: Why does this exception for Sundays not constitute an establishment of religion? Just wondering....)

FILL IN THE LATIN PROVERB

2:  “We who are about to die salute you.”

  • Latin is incorrect as given, though it doesn’t affect the word relevant to the answer. Should read Morituri te salutamus; Morituri te salutant means “They who are about to die salute you.”
 4:  “Fight fire with fire.”

6:  “One hand washes the other.”

 8:  “Tears are a woman’s weapon.”

10:  “A drop hollows out stone [or a stone or the stone].”

THE SOUND OF MUSIC

 3:  Heinrich “The Truth” Hertz

6:  I’m guessing what you intend here is air pressure (which is, indeed, measured in pascals); but perceived pitch is actually determined by the frequency of the sound wave, which is measured in hertz (see 3 above).

 9:  A clamplifier—not sure what you’re after here

12:  Speed

15:  Longitudinal waves

Respectfully submitted—
