Honestly, he's been gone from TV for so long that I thought he was already dead. You might not know that he did an album as a folk singer for Epic around 1962.
I guess I first knew him as host of 20/20 and he seemed old even then. I mean, really, when you consider he'd been semi-retired from TV for almost 10 years when he started 20 20.

Concentration with Hugh Downs was the first game show I remember watching.
I used to be AWSOP but wanted to be more theatrical.
