Oh Andy.
He got crucified on a cross of gold, that looked just like a lower-case t.

Re: Thursday, February 18, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
It took 29 games, but we finally got one:
Ouch that the players got messed up on which Cooper the sitcom clue referred and let that one go TS.
Andy mentioned the Scottish play during chats and bad luck was waiting in the FJ! round when Andy added a "T" that the judges had no choice on but to rule wrong.
I wish I had known that was they guy as I would have spelled him correctly. Instead I was off by a lot of years in guessing Fremont for a "West" guy when I did not know to "cross" him out for a "gold" guy.
Five misses for me in a row on the FJ! clues and perhaps I'll finally get one whenever Houston airs J! at the normal time slot in the morning. Facing a skunk week on Friday adds extra pressure to figure one out correctly.
Alan was 1/3 on wagering clues and today that was good enough.

So Andy gets a grand total of $2,999? That seems wrong somehow.
IMHO, if someone wins a game with under $2k, they should bump it up to $3k, or at least $2,500.

He won almost $3k for playing a game for an hour. That's more than many people make in a month.
If he wanted more he should have answered more clues correctly. That tends to be how it works.

This isn’t the first time someone has made that mistake. Tough break for Andy, but Bryant wasn’t the man’s name.
Instaget FJ for me.

Theoretically, one could have a longer winning streak than Ken Jennings and walk away with all of $1,075 to show for it. Them's the rules!

I thought it was funny Andy mentioned being a stage manager and later we had a clue about Our Town.

Oy vey. That was an expensive "t." I was hoping Alan would have it right too to save Andy his regret, but no such luck.
Got to the solve at home about 15 seconds in when silver brought me to gold. I realized trying to solve it by age was a fool's errand.
Leah was surprisingly competitive for finishing with nine wrong responses. She was very close to taking the lead late for a moment.

Re: Thursday, February 18, 2021 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
Ken got his first "genre" today.
Messy J! round for me. Said The Goldbergs for the Conners; otherwise no hope for me in Sitcoms. Also said novella for short story, samurai for ninja, and Jetsons for Futurama.
I thought the Jetsons/Futurama clue in particular was ENORMOUS negbait.
War was easily an 0/5 for me.
Can't say I've heard of an "opera glove".
What was the TOM for London in All Fairs for $200?
I keep forgetting that Cuba is a country.
Had a mental block on "gospel". "Parable" was blocking the path but I knew it was wrong since it was a correct response in the first round.
I have literally never heard pardo or moreno used to mean "brown" in Spanish.
"Mutiny" and "triage" are words I've heard before but never grasped the definition of. That happens a lot, doesn't it?
William Jennings Bryan is another generic-ass name that I guarantee will fall back out of my head two seconds after I finish typing this. I had absolutely no chance.
Got the Midway DD.

I read "first campaign" as implying a two-term president and never even thought of non-winners. Ah well.
At least I got "Everest" correct, so I won't get shut out for the week.

Prosecco was my favorite WAG of the night, followed by the stab at a lucky Johnson. Go Leah!!
My man Andy looked pained when they hit him with that ruling. Ouch!
Underwhelmed tonight! Where’s the fire? You’re on Jeopardy!!
