Audition Thread - Testing, Auditioning, and Getting the Call

Post by triviawayne »

Obviously things have changed, and I don't think it makes sense at this time to do a yearly North American Audition Tour thread. This one will take the place of that, and remain an ongoing thread.

We know the show is sticking with the anytime test, and we know that for now Zoom Auditions are here to stay.

While there are good reasons for the show to return to live auditions in the future, there are good reasons not to; or to even have both.

Without a yearly test and "round", we will just have to keep a running total of what is going on.

Because with Zoom, there is no reason for city to matter, I'll skip breaking it up in that manner at this time; but we'll see what happens and figure out what to do when the time comes.

So for now, if everyone just reports date of taking the test along with score (if that's possible), and what happens in your journey, we'll see what happens.

As for me, I had a live audition in Columbus at the end of July 2019, and in normal circumstances would've washed out of the pool at this time. Since we don't have anything about how long those in this situation would be granted extra swimming privileges, I will be taking the online anytime test soon, and if contacted, will tell the show about my situation.

Took Anytime Test 02/19/2021. Couldn't tell you the exact score but definitely a pass. No auditions yet.

Thank you for creating this thread. I'm eager to hear if anyone from the December-ish auditions outside California has gotten the call yet. Still waiting here.

I had an audition in Aug 2019 and am taking a more conservative approach. If I don't get the call anytime in 2021, I'm targeting early 2022 for the Anytime Test, pending further clarification about extra swimming time.

Same here, but in the meantime, I’m applying for The Chase
