I could not think of any title besides "Dancing Queen," and wasn't able to jump around in the song enough: "Scaramouche," "Galileo," "Figaro," and "Magnifico" all came to mind before I hit a wall and started going through lyrics in order and had a fleeting aha with "Landslide"—yeah, not Europop. I'm sorry I missed this one, and if I had been spoiled, I might have credited myself with a get.
Another Landslide!

Yeah, I also figured the clue wanted an ABBA song, but I tried to speed through the Queen lyrics instead of taking a wild guess, and it didn't work out.

I've grown used to Mayim and have no significant issues with her, but Ken is lightyears better than her, IMO. He's killed it again these first two nights.
Landslide here as well. I certainly could have come up with worse guesses, that's for sure!

'Deaccessioning' is a new entry for me

Also drew a total blank on that 'hedge fund' DD

+1 Dancing Queen - Figured it was ABBA but should have taken more time to see if I could get it

Remembered the time frame. Remembered Kim Basinger being a Bond girl. Said Roger Moore every time they gave a wrong answer. Even when Jenning gave the wrong answer of Sean Connery. I was saying Roger Moore.

I guess I had forgetton Connery came back for one movie.

He actually came back twice. I did not remember this until I looked it up yesterday but he made Diamonds are Forever after George Lazenby failed to excite the world in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (still, OHMSS is one of the best Bond films, not least for Diana Rigg). Then Roger Moore appeared in 6 films, including Octopussy, which came out the same year as Never Say Never Again, one of the few Bonds not produced by Cubby Broccoli...Then there was one Moore, A View to a Kill...

Ironhorse wrote: Tue Nov 09, 2021 8:19 pm I should have come up with it given that I once hosted a TD with a "things mentioned in Bohemian Rhapsody" question. I wonder if there would have been a way to elegantly word the question to specify that the title in question was in fact in Bohemian Rhapsody, because I was trying to go through Queen's entire discography in my head.
I see what you mean here, but it never occurred to me that the clue meant anything other than Bohemian Rhapsody, since it was the song referenced and its lyrics are so iconic, not least because of Wayne's World. I'm sure it's because of that sing-along, rather than any interest in the band itself, that made the words mamma mia come to mind almost immediately...

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but "Landslide" wasn't my response; I paused on it and then passed it over in my thought process.

Clammed on arbitrage. :x
I couldn't remember if the word had two R's or not.
I wonder if the name Armitage (as in Young Sheldon) contributed to this confusion.

I did get arbitrage, but did not come anywhere close on FJ!. I keep thinking that '70's songs would be a good category for me, but I'm now 0 for 2 on recent ones. I know all of the lyrics to BR and threw mental darts into various sections, to no avail. About 20 seconds in, I started wondering whether the clue referred to lyrics of some other Queen song.

Hillary Sebeny: 16800-16601=199
I can often make sense of weird wagers that seem to have some sort of strategy to them, but I'm not working out what Dane was going for here. If he's right he has $26,401, but I don't see a reason that Hillary would shoot for $26,400 or $26,399 (or, looking at it another way, leave $7,200 or $7,201 on the table). Greg, if he guards against where Hillary will fall on the minimum cover wager, finishes with a total from $401 to $9,199, and Dane doesn't appear to have taken that into account. And if Dane made a plus/minus mistake with that $1 and was actually trying to finish with $6,801 minimum, is there a reason to expect a wager of $2,000 or less from Greg? Or was he actually trying to leave $4,801 behind and somehow wagered $2,000 less (and $2 more) than he'd intended? I'm just throwing anything I can think of at his wager and not getting anywhere.

Hillary has a lock on 2nd as the most Greg can get is 9600. 16800-9600=7200. Or 16800+9600=26400 Dane did 16600+9800=26400? A buck more is 26401? Or something in that neighborhood?

This episode was the second time in the last few weeks that our local station (WTVC/Chattanooga, TN) has shown a rerun instead of the correct episode... anywhere else having this problem?

I like it! Dane takes Greg's max score, adds it to Hillary's current score, and aims to get a dollar above that. It doesn't make sense, but the numbers line up. What he thought he was accomplishing with this wager we'll never know without him saying, but he kept his score above $4,800 and that's what mattered in the end.

I said "deacquisitioning." The word wasn't directly nailed to Knight as a direct quote, so I'm going to count it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was on the sheet as an acceptable response.

I like the other because it's a syllable less and I'm sure it's more common, but here's a use in Artforum, and that's good enough for me...

Who'da thunk a cast member from The Brady Bunch would go on to become an art critic?

I ran the business vocabulary category. I know that business is the bugbear of trivia mavens. They don't seem to know even basic business and accounting stuff.

I was expecting Hillary to get reversed for saying Miami Herald. That was wrong two ways The category said it had to start with h and had to have six letters.

I took the hint that Europop referred to ABBA but then I went to Dancing Queen. It was their only number one hit in the United States and came out in 1976. What made me think it might be wrong was that Queen was in the clue.

It seems like a snub to Ken that they are announcing him as hosting Jeopardy instead of the host of Jeopardy.
I'd rather cuddle then have sex. If you're into grammar, you'll understand.
