de Gaulle

Definitely listened to the Billy Joel song more than one.

Was not aware of GAME prior to the Friday FJ! clue, but figured it out during the 30 seconds

Got Snagglepuss

Still would've gotten Jackson wrong because I kept forgetting the category; I was thinking 'Mississippi'

Have seen Pearl Harbor from the land and sea...not likely air though, I think i was on the wrong side of the airplane.

Confident enough to say I've heard through 'We Didn't...' at least once.

Clammed on Snagglepuss. Maybe if it was multiple choice...
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.

Not sure how to respond to the "something about the Arizona" option, since I think the correct response fits that phrase too.

I knew Snagglepuss and I'm not sure whether I've heard WDStF in its entirety.

You didn’t specify a minimum distance so I checked “yes” due to walking 50 feet of the Appalachian Trail.

Proust and USS Arizona. Thought Pearl Harbor was too large and vague to be a memorial.
Heard the Joel song many times.
Had not heard of GAME previously.
Got Snagglepuss
Hiked a short portion (couple of miles) of the Trail in northwest New Jersey as a kid.

Hemingway.

Never been to Hawaii.
At one point I knew "We Didn't Start the Fire" cold. Before I understood a lot of the references, even.
Never heard the term GAME connected to the Appalachian Trail, but worked it out en route to a solve. Never hiked any of it.
No guess on Snagglepuss.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

I knew Camus's dates, which made for a confident guess.

I knew there was another pink cat, a "Snagglepuss", and that someone said "heavens to Murgatroyd", but had no idea it was all one character.

I've heard "We didn't Start" enough times to equal a couple of listens.

Checked to see if Bear Mountain was part of Appalachia. Apparently not. Oh well.

Aw, durn (as they say in Appalachia), I forgot again.
I'm smart and I want respect.
