Double digit W and double digit TS. Someone had to win.

Travis with a wife and dad each coming in 2nd on J! had a medium size bar in front of him and could not clear it. That sucks to figure out the FJ! clue though with not enough time to write it and no shortcut to help. Even with a solve his run would have been short as not being able to connect CANNERY with Monterey using DD time to get an author is not the best result on DD1.

I figured out the FJ! clue with enough time to write it while my pen was not moving before the music began.

Mayim just couldn't help herself on that Alaska island clue. "Island" is in the clue's wording. The name of the island is good enough. Move along.

There was at least two times when a contestant gave a correct response, Mayim hesitated, and the player felt it necessary to add something else when it was not needed. Only bad can come from that.

That was a pretty easy FJ for Memorial Day. I was happy to see southpaw Diandra win again.

Mayim is again inserting pregnant pauses after perfectly correct responses. There was no reason for that pause after Yucatan.

I said Upton Sinclair for the writer about Monterey. Food processing industry, you know?

Could someone explain the “yes, oui, cannery” joke? Mayim asked “get it?”, but I didn’t.

Another fine evening of answers and questions, as Alex would put it.

I'm guessing she was alluding to Obama's "Yes, we can"...nery.

I am not citing an authority. It is my own observation.
Have you ever tried keeping thoughts to yourself instead of spouting them on the Internet?

Because I found this observation to be offensive.

Aha! Sometimes, I'll see this "UNK" abbreviation on people's Ancestry.com trees. I'd guessed it meant "uncle". Always nice to learn something!

I think most of us would disagree with FloridaGator's opinion. And Travis happens to be the son of a friend (yeah, the one who was on). That was a bummer of a result.

Thanks for adding the links to Travis’ dad and wife’s games.

Decent sized scores but not a great game. St. Augustine on the panhandle?

Agreed on Mayim’s pauses. Peninsula was in the answer and no need to demand which SCOTUS it was. Yes, it could have been any country but let’s get real. Adding the Spidermen’s first names wasn’t really necessary, either.

I’ve been to John D. Rockefeller’s grave in Cleveland. It is rather simple aside from the giant obelisk in the middle of the family plot. You can’t visit Nelson’s (she didn’t insist on his last name) unless you have access to the Rockefeller estate.

Instaget FJ. Too bad for Travis it is hard to write if you figure it out at the last second.

I don’t know if Ken would have done it but Alex would have said “How appropriate” upon the FJ category reveal.

In the movie listings, do you think PG means "pretty good"?

And does WTF stand for "well that's fantastic"?

And does LGBTQ stand for "let's go boating this quarter"?

Would "Tomb of the Unknown(s)" be acceptable? Wikipedia says the TotUS doesn't have an official name, and if that shortened name could be accepted, and since UNK is an established abbreviation for "unknown," I think they could have accepted Travis's response.
