Re: New old games in the J! Archive
I stumbled upon this clip:
Any insight as to dating this episode?
Super Jeopardy showed a clip of Keith Walker's 4th game, where he won $2,800 (and his suit doesn't match this clip), and his total through 4 and 5 imply he won $4,900 in game 5 (which don't really match up with the scores going into Final here).
Thus, it would be from either his second (3/6/87) or third (3/9/87) game.

I want to kind of revisit this a little: One of Michael's $ale ToC eps is up:MarkBarrett wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2023 2:27 pm Courtesy the National Archives of Game Show History, 1986-11-07: https://j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=8328
Michael Todaro, Todd Russell, Linda Williams
A perfect 30/30 all green J! Round though it did not take long to lose the perfecto in the DJ! Round. The game had a lot of fun stuff and I was happy the baseball owner clue had a correct response.
The FJ! clue guesses?![]()
And his last name was pronounced "Toe-DARE-oh" (like arrow). How was it said on Jeopardy, that or "Toh-DAH-ro"?

This episode surfaced in late 2004, when a game show trader I did frequent trades with obtained it from a family friend/neighbor. He had recorded it along with the rest of NBC’s daytime game show lineup that day, and is also the person who preserved the $ale episodes from 2/29/84, 5/3/84, 5/17/84, 12/19/84, and 12/20/84.

This should be Show #586 but I wonder if the National Game Show Archive has this episode.though. Or is it National History of Game Show Archives, or have TuneIn audiostream this episode.AndyTheQuizzer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 10:36 am I stumbled upon this clip:

Re: New old games in the J! Archive
Why should it be #586 and not #585, what source do you have that says as much?
And no, NAGSH doesn’t have it. If they did, it would be in J! Archive at this point already.

Not sure if this tidbit is worth putting in the archive, but this video shows that the 2/5/93 episode was the last episode with the Merv Griffin Enterprises "blinking griffin" logo (seen at the 20:38 mark), and the 2/8/93 episode was the first episode with the Merv Griffin Enterprises "cloud background" logo (seen at the 49:22 mark).

Re: New old games in the J! Archive
With all due respect, Jeff was asking if it was worth putting the specific fact regarding the logo in the Archive. It would have been obvious to Jeff that the episodes were in.kablamfan11 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2023 2:48 pmThe 2 games are already in the archive.Jeff-thecdboy wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2023 2:33 pm Not sure if this tidbit is worth putting in the archive, but this video shows that the 2/5/93 episode was the last episode with the Merv Griffin Enterprises "blinking griffin" logo (seen at the 20:38 mark), and the 2/8/93 episode was the first episode with the Merv Griffin Enterprises "cloud background" logo (seen at the 49:22 mark).
