LL100 Private Rundle created for all rapscallions and boardie detritus

Post by twelvefootboy »

Hear Ye, Hear Ye

This is a lazy re-paste from a post just added to the LL99 thread.

Beginning spam dump:

Sorry to be rather inattentive, I haven't got into the Jeopardy groove with these constant tournaments.
There is no rational reason, as all of these people are mostly new to me again.

The deadline for registration is Feb 8.
credentials are : JboardLLtank100 / AlexTrebek

If anyone has any questions about this motley rundle, might be best to email me at gmail. You can guess the handle. I'll try to watch for PM's here just like I watch for my tax documents every January :).
I'll try to tally the last results to see who got second behind our perpetual champ mahatma 8-) . All the veterans know that the rules pretty much change daily, so I'll keep counting until we get the result I want.

End spam dump :)

Whenever I want such characters, I enter from my phone. Much easier than remembering the code.

usually iPhone keyboards. (probably have six languages on standby, not exact number since I keep a English keyboard because I always slip my finger when I am trying to put periods and parentheses and you know I love my parentheses.) when doing it on the computer for videos credits I use a website that specialises in alternate alphabet keyboards. Granted I need the name of the language to do such a thing. (and I cannot do asian character languages for the life of me unless I copy and paste exact character of those. nothing against them and I have tried many hours but those languages are over 1000 characters long, 1000 is barely literate on based on the national education standard)

Just a word up - I just now pinged the twelvefootkin to invite to the rundle and realized two of them will be in Finland on MD1, and twelvefootbro may have to opt out for medical reasons :( .
It's currently just me and mahatma, but AFRETCMS and Sburrus are TBD.

I'm all in for a cage match if it turns out that way, I've never gone 0-25 before. ClassicRoadster beat me down 14-10-1 in LL84 before he solved the twelvefoot code and pummelled me every match after that.

I'll relay this post through PM's to the alums. We are still open for all comers, from rundles A to Z.

bump / last call
we be at six players at present.
if we are odd at this time tomorrow, i may be able to draft a parity bit. if you understand this paragraph, you probably need counseling.

deadline is midnight PST tomorrow, 8 Feb.

To anyone like me who’s written tens of thousands of lines of assembly code that statement is easily grokable.

I'm glad to know that :). I use the parity bit euphemism regularly and never know if it's understood, much less correct.

Twelvefootsis came through as the parity bit without having to stay up until 1 AM by dropping out and rejoining to assume the 7th position. Then our fashionably late eighth player rounded us out sometime after midnight EST.

The game is afoot. We have two A players, two D players and four E players. It's somewhat like the laws of Thermodynamics (according to the musical "Wiz"): You can't win, you can't break even, and you can't even get out of the game :).

tentative format (typed slowly so the 'A" players can understand):
1) MD1-MD4 are pre-season, which will even up the schedule at 3 rounds.
2) You get three points for assigning a three to a question your opponent gets correct.
3) You get one point for assigning a zero to a question your opponent misses.
4) Winner of each round gets a bonus 3 points.
5) DE will be the tie breaker (low is good).
6) Helen Waite is the head of the complaint department. Go to her if you have a complaint .

Everybody have a great season!

Actually, Helen Waite is on vacation until after the season. Her assistant, Helen Dye, would be happy to assist you until then.
