2: Oenopion king of Chios temporarily blinded this hunter after he assaulted the king's daughter Merope, but now his constellation is visible around the world.

4: The constellation named for this Roman hero is kneeling on Draco's head, gloating over stealing the apples of the Hesperides.

6: This hero's constellation includes him carrying the head of Medusa; his wife Andromeda is nearby on the back of Pegasus.

8: The centaur Chiron, teacher of Achilles, became this member of the Zodiac.

10: The constellation Ophiokhos memorializes this son of Apollo, a healer struck dead by Zeus for bringing people back from the dead.

3: James Monroe holds an American flag as oarsmen paddle through ice in this Leutze painting.

6: Turner's painting of this battle shows the HMS Victory displaying signal flags reading “England expects that every man will do his duty.”
