THE CONFEDERATE CONSTITUTION

2: The Confederate constitution bans the foreign importation of these from anywhere except certain places in the United States.

4: The second amendment to the Confederate constitution (ironically) prohibits states from doing this, but preserves a state's right to nullify a federal law.

6: Voting rights were extended to these Confederate citizens by their Sixth Amendment, while their Union counterparts had to wait for the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment.

8: Five-word phrase present in the U. S. Constitution omitted from the Confederate preamble; no wonder they lost the war.

10: The President of the Confederacy was limited to one term of this length, the same as the term of a Senator, after which he could not be re-elected.

PRODUCE-ING MOVIES

3: Jessica Tandy plays Ninny Threadgoode in this 1991 movie based on a novel by Fannie Flagg.

6: In this 1984 horror movie set in a remote town, a religious cult tries to kill everyone over the age of 18.

9: Carol Burnett starred in the 2005 movie “Once Upon a Mattress” based on this Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale.

12: Red-headed comedian Scott Thompson shares his stage name with this 1952 French film starring Raymond Souplex.

15: This movie directed by Robert Redford and based on a John Nichols novel tells the story of a conflict involving Hispanic farmers.
