ASSASSINATION ATTEMPTS

2: In 1984, the Irish Republican Army attempted to bomb this British Prime Minister, missing her but killing five others.

4: On April 10, 1963, this future Presidential assassin is said to have attempted to shoot former General Edwin Walker.

6: On April 5, 1900, anarchist Jean-Baptiste Sipido fired two shots at a train carrying this future king of England.

8: In 1951, when he was just 17 years old, this future king of Jordan survived an assassination attempt that killed his grandfather.

10: Two years before his eventual murder in 1584, this Dutch “leader of the United Provinces” survived an an assassination attempt that left him unable to speak.

WOMEN OF CLASSIC ROCK

3: Kris Kristofferson wrote her biggest hit, “Me and Bobby McGee,” which hit number one the year after her death.

6: Her album “Crimes of Passion” contained the song that won her her first Best Female Vocal Performance Grammy: “Hit Me With Your Best Shot.”

9: This lead singer of the Blackhearts and founding member of the Runaways loves rock and roll, especially her song “Bad Reputation.”

12: Fronted by Ann and Nancy Wilson, this band has hit the Top 10 on Billboard's album charts in every decade since the 1970's, most recently for “Red Velvet Car.”

15: Looking for “Somebody to Love?” Try this lead singer of Jefferson Airplane who wrote their hit “White Rabbit.”
