I've always loved a lot of the names from Hong Kong kung-fu movies, and rather than the typical "steel palm" and "iron fist", I was very amused by this one;

Can't believe they made 51 of those movies.
Not many people can say they've lost four times on Jeopardy!.

The "Badger" part is straightforward: born and raised in the Badger state. The "fellow" part actually has 2 meanings. It can either mean that I am just an average fellow, or it can signify my profession.

I assume that teapot37 is named after a teapot.

Not a teapot, but 37 of them.

I realize I never posted here. It is my old alma mater generated email. Not too creative but not taken!

Foretopman, as in the old name of the Herman Melville work, Billy Budd, Foretopman, because I really enjoy the age of sail.

Big Daddy Matty is my nom de karaoke. In the days of my youth, I won several dollars and entertained dozens of fans with my rendition of Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back."

I used to play poker at a club that closed at 2am on Sunday mornings. Rather than wait until 2 and have to wait in a long line to cash out, I usually racked up my chips and headed to the cashier about 10 minutes before 2. An old guy there took notice of this one night and asked, "Is it closing time already?" The next weekend he saw me again at around the same time and said, "Hey, it's ClosingTime again" and then after that proceeded to just call me that every time he saw me.

Of course, some of my friends will say the name came from the only time I was likely to pick up a woman at a bar/club. :D

Mine is a bit of wordplay on my full name. The "kerry" is my first name.

I found out recently that my uncle, who also shares the KAO initials, used "OAK" as his signature on his art back in the 70s. I loved this tidbit of knowledge, especially since my last name begins with the classic Irish "O'C" and is pronounced "oak." I unsuccessfully tried to adopt this nickname and have since settled for using it in my online identity.

kerryoak sounded like something was missing, so the "ie" makes it sound like karaoke, which is something I'm horrible at, but enjoy a lot.
