ROMAN NUMERALS
This British monarch ruled during the year with the longest Roman numeral so far Spoiler
Who is Victoria? Spoiler
1888
I hate trying to do these under time pressure. But in this case, the century was easy to come up with and from there I was able to guess the correct response with some confidence if not with total certainty. This is one where I'd be a bit fascinated to see what the contestants come up with. Well done.
As an aside I recall always enjoying the long-ish Roman numeral indicating the copyright year at the end of the closing credits in many movies. 2000 especially, but also the years that followed have been a bit of a disappointment in this respect. Honestly, we've mostly stopped going to movies.

I actually got this one from a University Challenge episode on Youtube. The contestants didn't get it, but they didn't have 30 seconds.
I already knew the longest Roman numeral year, so that was simple.
Incidentally, that reminds me of the fact that the American Kennel Club only allows for a given name/breed combination to be used 37 times among dogs registered with them. The reason for this is that when they created the system to allow for same-named/same-breed dogs, they did so by creating a separate field to number the duplicate names, and they numbered them with Roman numerals, and they made the field max out at six characters. XXXVIII is the first seven-character Roman numeral, so they capped it at 37 (XXXVII).
I guessed Matthias, who replaced Judas Iscariot, because he was chosen by the apostles rather than Jesus. But I appreciate what's going on in that clue; I might have done better on it if I'd heard it read aloud.

I assume we would also accept:

I gotta say, I liked the FOODSTOCK category and was surprised how relatively gettable the clues were. I hope we see more such creativity. Take that, curmudgeons!
