Re: Wildcard Cutoffs redux
Thank you for the information, I have finally gotten around to putting it in. I now have complete data for the college tournaments. Still missing the Teen Tournaments from Seasons 5 and 7 as well as the seniors from Season 5. Hopefully I get the scores from the current TOC entered prior to next year's TOC.
Thanks again for your help.

Re: Wildcard Cutoffs redux
Tom Wickham was the last wild card, at $7,800 after gaining $400 in FJ, while Bob Winthrop's $7,800 came from losing $2,000 in FJ. (I guess today's tiebreaker rules for the last wild card weren't codified then; as far as we assume, Tom got the nod because he got his FJ right.) Furthermore, they were tied for fifth highest score among non-winners; one of the other four (called "D.J. Smith" in the Associated Press article from which we know this, obviously from the unarchived game) was disqualified between tapings for having been on Wheel of Fortune too recently.Bamaman wrote: ↑Fri Jun 20, 2014 10:37 pm 1988 Seniors Tournament (Season 4)-Held in May-Won by Peggy Kennedy
$8,000 (Charmion Burns)-FJ wrong, players 1/3
$7,800 (Bob Winthrop)-FJ wrong, players 1/3
Only the first four games are archived. These are the presumed scores based on information from Mark Barrett.

Re: Wildcard Cutoffs redux
Thanks for your work on this valuable resource, Bamaman. I caught two small errors:
The S35/ November 2018 Teen Tourney was omitted from that section of the thread (won by Claire Sattler). Copied from TJF: 4) Rohan Kapileshwari $11,900 ($9,800, $3,400) ---- 5) Rhea Sinha, $6,800 ($11,800, $4,600). Archive shows that Rohan was correct in a 2/3 FJ, while Rhea was the only miss on a 2/3.
The last 2017 ToC wildcard went to Tim Aten ($11,500) and Justin was the first out. Tim was incorrect on a 1/3 FJ.

Thanks for the information. I wish we knew D.J.’s score but it couldn’t have been much more than $7,800 if third place was $8,000.seaborgium wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 6:30 pmTom Wickham was the last wild card, at $7,800 after gaining $400 in FJ, while Bob Winthrop's $7,800 came from losing $2,000 in FJ. I believe I now have everything inputted after the first week of the Teachers Tournament.
Mark Barrett-Do you have wild card info for the Eric Newhouse Teen Tournament? You said you were missing two QF games but did they announce the scores at the end of QF5 so I can at least get the last qualifier?
