The Hawaiian alphabet contains 12 letters and an okina, or glottal stop. Because of this some sources list the the Hawaiian alphabet as having 12 letters. The original alphabet did not have the okina.
I always considered the okina to be a letter. Guess I shouldn't have.

You are correct, it is considered a letter and the number is officially 13. But I have seen it listed as 12 as well. Kind of reminds me of Oscar winners, some sources give the year of the awards instead of the year of release.

Speaking of which, here's an annoying fact I learned earlier this year. Even though most sources give the year of a Grammy win as the year of the ceremony (e.g., Samara Joy is the 2023 winner of the Best New Artist Grammy), the date on the actual trophy is the previous year (i.e., 2022). I confirmed this to be true on both pictures of recent winners' trophies, and winners from the early days (Bob Newhart, if I remember correctly).

She was quite demonstrative about not having success on the buzzer.

So the question on Tuesday's show about Isle Royale, is there any way to disprove that 'most wolverines' isn't a correct answer also?

apparently there is:

"While wild wolverines exist in Oregon, Montana, Washington, Colorado, Wyoming, California, and parts of Canada, there are no wild wolverines in Michigan. All the wolverines necessary can be found on the fields, courts and rinks of Ann Arbor."

And that, sir, is why you are called a Master Mind. I did not know there aren't wolverines in Michigan. Who'd'a thunk?

From yesterday's episode:
42 years after “History of the World, Part I, what legendary funnyman followed up with “History of the World, Part II?
I was curious if there might be multiple answers to this.
Spoiler
There aren't. IMDB says that the only names in common between the two projects are Mel Brooks (the intended answer) and composer John Morris.
(Thanks to Fikkle Fame for the question recap.)

thank you for the nudge! coincidentally, one of my tutoring students is currently in a multimedia seminar, and among the assigned viewings for the next class is "S.S. Rajamouli, RRR (2022) [excerpts]" :)

Clearly, the best way to be eliminated first is to have the most interesting-sounding story. That way, we never get to hear it.

I'm not disputing the answer, but I think Arianna was wrong on the flag on the Moon question. Surveyor 1 was the first craft to land on the Moon, and had a flag painted on it. So it would fit the question since it was left there. It didn't specify a manned mission.

That was Muffy's last hosting gig. Last episode of the season is tomorrow.

Last episode??????

Say it ain't so...

The flag comment inspired me to search for pics... I can't see any that show there was a flag painted on it, but even if there was a flag, it went there in 1966, when there were 50 stars on the flag already...
