Was very excited to see a question about one of my favorite artists, Yayoi Kusama.
A number of lucky guesses. Perhaps they should do four answer choices.
One contestant passed on FROZEN!!!
Surprised Victoria didn’t get Kraken. Used Sweden and Scandinavian logic.
Don’t blame Victoria for switching away from Fight Club. There have been a few times where I had an answer before the choices came up, and that option was still wrong.
No J! Archive player pages to update this time. Scott Green, Jill Hopkins, and Wren Schultz. I imagined turning Gil Scott-Heron's name into Jill Scott Wren (even though their names weren't in that order on screen).
One more pushback would have done the trick. They left a few on the board; the one I remember off the top of my head is when Victoria fell into the trap of naming Shylock as the titular Merchant of Venice.
Having gone toe-to-toe with Victoria in the inaugural OQL highbrow Challenge (now the ICC), which she eventually won, I know firsthand just how deep her knowledge runs. I was glad to see her get her chance this episode as she is also a terrific person. She didn’t disappoint.

I've only seen the very first episode of the revival so far but are they still doing those backstage shots of the other Chasers watching the game?
Yes, the lounge comments are still there, but only with three of the four chasers not on stage.

Also, in one of the cash builders, Sara pronounced Gaelic to sound like Gallic and the contestant incorrectly answered with France.
For some reason our local affiliate showed a rerun of "Holey Moley" despite "The Chase" being listed on the program guide. My DVR dutifully recorded what I hoped to watch, only to be disappointed.

Are you sure? Holey Moley ran late in the East because it was interrupted by the President's speech. Then The Chase played in its entirety. Of course, the ending would still be cut off on your recording.

The Swan Lake was the biggest WTH in the show. I wonder if the final stacks had been switched if it would have been closer. As played out it was ugly.
At least there was someone who took the higher offer, making the outcome more satisfying than the one where Ken fizzled and the three contestants (including one who took a lower offer) split $95,000.
