Steven Bonorris, Sara Cox and Joe Laboda.

Sara's other tie game is now in.

On the FJ! clue I matched Joe & Sara and spent the next 15 seconds to figure out the third one.

Extra info for Steven's last name is he was currently working for the Treasury.
DJ15 should be Acts, not Act.
DJ3 is just a crappy question. How does including Christopher Milne help you get to the correct response?

Acts, fixed, thanks.

Myron: The wrong guess for J19 is not the only mention of that name in the archive. ;)

J19: Ziegfeld's name has another E in the first syllable.

Bonus Friday entry with the rest of 9/26/91: https://j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=4983

It was previously lacking the remainder of the DJ! Round and the FJ! Round.

This completes the run of Seth Davis and how he missed the 5th win to get in the ToC. Quite a game.

For the FJ! correct response I tried to go with how Alex said it when going to Rand:
Spoiler
Alex was asking if Rand had judge or judges, so I took that to mean federal was not needed, so parentheses there. Judgeship was an alternate correct response so parentheses again. Judge alone was going to fine, so the S in parentheses on that one.
I'll do a full S8 audio tomorrow.

J2 needs a capital letter in the response.

I remember this clue distinctly but, I am sure, not from this episode, because I remember it stumping one, several, or all of the players. Was this clue repeated sometime more recently? (Cannot find in the Archive!) Maybe on a different game show? Or maybe someone just used it (taking it from the Infinite Final Jeopardy!) in a live trivia game that I played?

From a TuneIn recording here is 9/5/91: https://j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=7770

John Zeock, Teresa Pelusi and Steve Newman

My scoresheet shows I got the FJ! right when I saw it the first time. I took a guess at Steve's misspelling.

Very happy that both J25 and J26 played, especially one right after the other. I wonder what writerly waggishness the final 3 clues might have contained.

Thanks, but I still have this memory of someone getting this clue wrong, and me being surprised at said person getting it wrong. Was there maybe a Daily Double where they named a person who was impeached and you had to name the occupation, and the player said something else?

Only one 4-day winner made it to the TOC that season, Bruce Simmons with $63,599.

Nothing exciting, but thanks to a TuneIn recording I was able to fill in and/or confirm the missing job titles and cities for the challengers in this game: https://j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=7261 along with removing the notes about things missing.

Here's an oddity. In 1999, the exact same clue appeared on episodes that aired just 2 weeks apart, one of them in the ToC. Per the listed tape dates, they taped a month and a half apart, on opposite sides of the holiday break.
The ferry from Villa San Giovanni in Calabria, Italy to Sicily crosses this strait
January 26, 1999, STRAIT-EN UP for $1000 (DJ)

February 9, 1999, BODIES OF WATER for $400 (J) *ToC

Per his personal website, Jeff Stolzer was a writer for WWTBAM and Sports Geniuses. Not sure when exactly he wrote for Millionaire.

Five scattered clues were missing though fortunately enough was left on the recording to keep track of the game.

Only 1 TS--nice.

The last names of the challengers are a guess.

Susan's story was about the world's largest birthday cake and Tom with his brothers were part of a garage band.

If I had to play guess the occupation for the challengers I sensed the law area by outfit and demeanor and would be surprised if it was education. Bedside manner did not seem likely either for the medical field.

Easy FJ! clue if you know who the author is; otherwise, good luck.

From what I can tell, Stemwedel is right for Tom. I haven't found anything on Susan, but in 1994 the record holder for largest cake was from 1989, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Fort Payne, Alabama. (Las Vegas has since broken the record.)

From a TuneIn recording here is 9/6/91: https://j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=7775

Randy Hill, Frank Tangredi and Steve Newman.

Frank won $32,000 on Millionaire in 2000 and is a regular over at the WWTBAM Bored, so I'll post over there to let him know his game is in.

Some players make DD3 more than others.

Oh, and DJ28! Another hit way too late to help.
